The Journey is complete
Thanks for everyone's efforts, but in particular KentClub, Andy1248 and RobBob for their perserverance.
For Beastly fans .... I am looking at having some time out from task setting but I will host something next week in the usual timeslot. It might be a PDA-less task, and it might be on the new Scottish scenery which is said to be very close to being released. EDIT: Scotland 4 is now on .eu,

Best shot I could get of the Lismore Lighthouse, was part of the first Scotland HD Condor 1 scenery.

Re: Journey of a Million Miles - BONUS Task
BeastFromTheEast Antares 18S 00:56:29 170.2km/h
RobBob DG808C-18 01:00:07 01:00:07 159.9km/h
KentClub Ventus 3-18 01:02:20 154.2km/h
Andy1248 Antares 18S 01:20:36 119.3km/h
A big thumbs up to Andy & contributors for engineering this wonderful scenery region
Vince managed to break his glider on landing but was so intrigued by the idea of the lighthouse above that he found several outstanding lifts to look at it, followed by the rest of us once Robin had finished sailing his glider around in the Sound Of Mull. We then all took turns at flying under the Connel Bridge.
Unfortunately it was tea no biscuits with the CFI once we landed.
As discussed I am looking at taking a sabbatical from task setting but will host something next week .... probably again on Scotland 4. So see you then.

Lighthouse
Ths is the lighthouse from When Eight Bells Toll" which I mentioned.
Ian
I don't think it is the Lismore one. EDIT: It is the Tobermory lighthouse (Tobermory doubles for "Torbay" in the movie) - located slightly up the coats from Tobermory itself.Ian

Bonus Task #2 18 0619
Will run tonight at 1900h so see you there. Scotland 4 again.
Note very low start height. There wil be an airborne start over Glen Forsa as I found the strong crosswind tricky for aerotowing. (wind is north westerly at 50km/h, no thermals)
Task ID USYJU
EDIT: I found it difficult to get past the Lismore island with water / ballast on board.
EDIT2: The others didn't
KentClub Jonkers JST-21 TBA
RobBob DG808C not sure of exact time but didn't finish as he popped out his engine
BeastFromtheEast Antares 18S 01:00:30 142.20 km/h
As discussed I am taking a sabbatical from task setting over the next few weeks. I will use the opportunity to develop a few new ideas and fly other people's tasks for a change . Beastly Soaring .... will return.
