[Condor2] You were kicked by server. Slot request timed out detected.

Post by scls19fr » Tue Apr 03, 2018 1:46 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to connect to an existing multiplayer session of Condor 2 through
http://www.condorsoaring.com/serverlist ... arch=cndr2

I choose one whom status is "Joining Enabled"
but I get the following message " You were kicked by server. Slot request timed out detected." after
seeing task in "Flight Planner - Join" window.

I'm using Windows 10 with Free Avira antivirus and Windows Defender as default firewall.

Even after disabling both, I still get same error message.

Any idea ?

Kind regards

I had it sometimes with Condor 1. Never managed to find a solution. System restart seemed to be the only one which helped.

On my side, I never faced this issue with Condor 1 but always faced it with Condor 2!
Reboot doesn't help

Please try defragmenting your drive. *even if it says its not required*

Same for me. Had it fairly frequently in Condor 1, and a reboot seemed to be the only solution. And I still have same problem in Condor 2.

I had that happen one night. It took rebooting the computer to "mitigate" the problem. I still don't know why it didn't work before the reboot.

Looks like reboot is the common fix.

Hi

I had this issue regularly with V1 (not yet seen it in the short time I've used V2, thank goodness).

Never really understood it but reading through previous posts I made on it may help.

Finally I was convinced that it had something to do with MS updates. It would kick me every time for periods (days) until I ran an update and then no issue.

Hope this helps as it is incredibly frustrating not least because you have to go right through to the end of the join process to find it fails.

Good luck

Me too again tonight - had to fly the Denmark5 task off line as I kept getting kicked.

I ran the Windows update and now not getting kicked anymore (until next time of course).

If only MS's spyware was good enough for Bill to actually hear what I thought and said about it.

Hi everyone,

Since my update of the last version (2.1.7), i have this problem.
My firewalls are okay, i tried equaly without its and nothing changes.
I updated window too, defragmenting, multi-reboots...

For indication, with version 2.1.6, i obliged to past by my own Condor version (on my computer), with a copy of the host adress, because when i tried by the website, i never connected. I tried with an another map than AA2, it works just one time (with BigPyrénées), never after.

Any idea ??

Thank you for yout help.
Best regards, François.

Router settings? Does your router allow TCP communications on the right ports?

Hello,
We tried that, but it wasn't the problem.

It seems that comes from my version AA2 landscape. After some tries, we observed my Condor2 multiplayer worked with slovenian landscape, the originally landscape in the program. So, i compared the size of my AA2 landscape to the same on friend's computers and it was not equal.
So, i delete my AA2 and reloaded it by Condor Updater. On my first tries, any problem.

Good to know for the next forumers with this issue ;-)

Thank you everyone,
François.
