Re: DSHelper (Setup Guide, No race results?)
Folks,
I'm trying to help my local Club with a group fly. I first just used the Condor Dedicated Server setup to confirm all the connections were working and people could join. That went okay.
Then I found DSHelper to help automate starting the server/race results. It took a little more trial and error that I would prefer. A few pages of setup guide would be very, very helpful. I did see the youtube video from Hitzi, but language issues made it difficult to follow.
I did get DSHelper configured to start races at scheduled times using designated flight plans OK, but no race results?
I'm just trying it myself, simple task out & back. I can join and the race starts, fly the task, but DSHelper gives me no indication of results/statistics? All I see in any logs is just that the server started and pilot joined the race. I think I'm missing something simple?
Server log below my signature.
Any help, much appreciated!

Re: DSHelper
There should be a csv file with race results in your mydocuments/condor/ folder

To be precise: DOCUMENTS\Condor\RaceResults folder
CN: MPT — CondorUTill webpage: https://condorutill.fr/
Re: DSHelper
One thing to be aware of is that Condor scores using DAEC handicap only (I believe). As long as you're happy with that then using the logs from where Bre states is OK.
If you wish to score as per handicaps that are usually used in RL comps you're best to upload the task to Condor Club and have DSHelper upload the results after a race and it'll apply the appropriate handicap. i.e. Club Class will be IGC and there'll be no handicap applied in 15m and 18m races.
Someone please correct anything if I have got it wrong here!

2018 - Silver Badge complete - Forgot I could claim for the 100km diploma flying an out and return
2019 - Get up to speed and aim for a 300km task?! maybe.....
Re: DSHelper
Condor automatically uses DAeC handicap in "School", "Club", "20 meter MS" and "All" class. In the rest of the classes no handicaps are applied. This applies to the in game classification and the csv file generated after the server ends.Paul_UK wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 8:11 amOne thing to be aware of is that Condor scores using DAEC handicap only (I believe). Re: DSHelper
Thanks Wickid. I was unaware that Condor didn't apply handicap in 15m and 18m class results. Good to know!

Re: DSHelper
Open and acro also do not have handicap. Only the classes I mentioned above.

Re: DSHelper
Thanks Wikid. I was aware of no handicap in Open class. I tend to make a task ALL instead of Open class as then pilots have to think a little more about which glider is more suitable for the task ahead. I only set Open class when I want a day out in the EB

Re: DSHelper
Folks,
Thanks for the tip on the raceresults location. I did find the .csv file for the simple 1 person, 1 turnpoint, race I flew.
The contents are below.
I see the status says "Warmup" and no Dist or Time numbers. I did get the "Race Start" message at the beginning, flew to the turnpoint and back, landed.
Am I missing a setup option?
Again, many thanks!
John

Warmup means not started the race yet. Check if you are opening the correct file (correct date and time).

Re: DSHelper
All,
I'm kind of puzzled and need a little help. I've been running a server for many years (since the Condor 1 days). I do this every winter for my club mates and usually don't have any problem getting things going when the real flying stops.
This year I have the server computer running with the latest release of Condor 2 and the latest DS_helper posted here.
I can start the server and it will start the task and accept users to join the task. The server appears on the serverlist and Hitzi's list, and everyone can join in.
Here's the problem: when the task/race is over, DS-Helper doesn't restart the flight plan! I've been through every setting I can find and I don't remember this being a problem in the past.
What have I forgotten? It has been over 6 months since I was running the server and I'm sure it's something simple that I have not done correctly.
I welcome your suggestions/ideas and general derision of my obvious memory failure.
Mike

Re: DSHelper
Many thanx Thomas! Notice for user running tasks scored via CondorClub already downloaded FPL from condor.club
Retype also URL at the end of FPL file - in section [Description]:
----
From: Task #XXXXX found on www.condor-club.eu
To: Task #XXXXX found on www.condor.club
----
Or just simple re-download your FPL task from condor.club

Re: DSHelper
Is there a specific procedure to update to a new version of DSH? I have not seen one in the faq. Nor does it appear to try to update itself, I'm not sure if this was a previous option.
Thanks,
Paul
