Hi hitzi,

First of all, thank you for your tool, it really simplifies running multiple tasks at the same time from the same server.

That said, as I'm using virtual machine, Windows is taking too much of my resources for nothing, so I'm currently trying to move the whole setup under Linux+Wine running in Docker container.

And it's not fully functional. Condor Dedicated server works just fine, but there is no communication between DSHelper and Dedicated Server. The former opens the DS start/stop dialogue, fails to receive any data back, and reports timeout. If I click Start manually the task runs normally, but DSHelper still sees nothing.

I think I need to install some libraries for the interprocess communication with winetricks, but not sure what to look for, so could you please tell me what do you use to send data to/from DS?

Regards,

Hi sergsk,

DSHelper uses WinApi functions like EnumThreadWindows and so on. I don't know if this way work with docker.

The alternative serverlist is down. The OVH datacentre in strasbourg is burning. I hope my server wasn't in the part which is completely destroyed :(
If you got problems with the alternative serverlist (data upload) in DSHelper please disable the aternative serverlist in the settings until the server is up again.

Any suggestions for a new vps hoster?

Yuuppps, bad luck.. I can't understand why the anti-fire measures didn't work. Usually gas is injected to shut down fire but here, it was not enough (or not used), let's wait for the report...

I found https://www.netcup.eu/ in Germany, I'm testing one dedicated server in their facilities, looks like very good with similar connectivity with OVH.

I have a Windows Server from Netcup. It's okay for my use - could just be a bit faster on the drive.

I try a vps from Strato for a month now.

About OVH fire in Strasbourg ..!https://www.dna.fr/faits-divers-justice ... rt-du-rhin
Je suis très confiant dans la réactivité de OVH, je pense que c'est prématuré de vouloir déménager... :)

SBG2 is totally destroyed, SBG1 partially. So servers (and data) are gone for ever. Other SBGx may have suffer from the high temperature.
OVH will provide new servers quickly but they will be empty, so affected sites and clients will stay down longer.
From first reports I read, there was NO fire counter measures in facilities. None in Strasbourg, none in wherever OVH DC in europe

Therefore I think it's better to switch to another provider.

We do not know about the data of VPS.
They should have a backup on their side.

And there was fire counter measures in facilities :)

Hello

I'm looking to download DSHelper.

But it's look like the download folder was lost in the OVH fire.

Where can i found a recent version of DSHelper?

Thanks a lot.
