I am admin for a server posting tasks. We use DS Helper for Condor Version 1. I see a new version but it is not clear whether it works for both Condor Version 1 and C2. I have looked through the thread, and am looking for a simpleton's explanation.

Currently, I run the same task in C1 and C2. For C1, I use DS Helper, and use the scheduler. For C2, I manually start the C2 Standalone server. Since this works, I am unwilling just to download the new DS Helper lest I end up having to start both servers manually on club task night.

So - could someone explain - Does the new DS Helper allow contest admins to control both C1 and C2 tasks, or is it in addition to the old DS Helper, and I will have to run two versions?

Cheers

Hi, Dan,

At Condor Cafe, I run DSH version1 for Condor1 and DSH version2 for condor2 at the same time on the same server without any problem.

Thanks! Downloading and starting to play with the new one. Just a thought - I truly thank those with the skills to help make Condor (and 2) so good - but in this case, putting a "2" somewhere in the name would have helped me try it without posting.

If there were a "buy me a beer (or glass of wine, like on the OGN)" button, I'd buy one for DS Helper!

Hi hitzi,
Just a little question , with actual version "Reset Stopjoin time when first user connets" also Reset Stpjoin time if the "serverlistCrawler"
is the first to connect ! is this OK ?
Don't remember if this was the case in V1 version of DSHelper...

This is on my todo list. All the functions are in already but the finetuning/testing is still missing.

Thx....but:
Having the "serverlist crawler connected" message was OK, just the "reset stopjoin" was not if he was the first to connect, this was an easy indication to know that the server is running and reachable..
is this possible for a next version ?.. because now, with no message at all, I'm never sure the server is really accessible...

Thanks for the continued updates!

For the latest one, I selected the option to clean double users (0000067: [General] Option to clean raceresults from double users (hitzi)), but every time I come back to that panel after the initial setting, the option is unselected.

(The double results for a user who lands and restarts are a problem for the site where I upload my results, so that option is really interesting to me because it saves a manual step).

Cheers,
-Mark Rebuck

Hello Hitzi,

Thanks for the latest version. I was very interested by the copy of the RaceResults file for statistics of frequentation.
But this option worked 2 or 3 times in the beginning, but since then nothing. No more files are generated.
Did I miss something?
