Hello!
1st practice task is finished.
Helmut (F9), Jon (123) and Andrii (AL1) (in Duo!) made it the best possible way. Impressive average! WD
Looks like I need to re-read, with understand this time: https://is.gd/iLlG1s And learn again to circle in normal width thermals. Maybe also there is moment to buy 2nd hand (preferably) Arcus in good condition. Will think about it.
Results on c-c: https://www.condor.club/comp/besttimes/0/?id=20267
Overall: https://www.condor.club/comp/globalscore/211/?&id=649 (not yet)
This time no sortable csv table, as all just fit in one SCI screenshot.
Will use CSV Sharing Tool when more pilots will be on score list. Stats from SCI at oldskool screenshot...
As usually: FTRs > CoFliCo > IGCs > SCI 2.62c click to enlarge
mCR: average climb rate in m/s for the task | mGN: mean gliding number (gliding number without influence of wind)
mIAS: mean indicated airspeed (the speed you see on your speedometer, the real speed is higher depending on the altitude) | nLift: number of lifts
DeltaGN: additional gliding number (difference between mGN and GN of speed polar) | Vmet: average of rising and sinking air
AltLift: average climbed in a lift | Detour: Detour in percent, only gliding passages are regarded.
Notice - when weather is 'weak' some pilots may dump ballast, some flying without etc - it influences stats depend on polar, but also mCR etc.
If someone would like to have all ftrs to refly with ghosts or igcs for deeper analyse etc. Drop me a msg.
Info about new version of SCI: This update (SCI 2.62c) has updated Datas for all new Condor 2 planes (up to Hangar Update 22). Also default Condor 2 DAeC planes indexes in PlaneIndices.txt file updated. January 6, 2022, Fox9.
Download: https://virtualsoaring.eu/download - thank you, Erik!
Top three flights. Notice how close they were, on picture, time is UTC not task time. click to enlarge

Re: TCC :: Taupo Condor Competition :: 20 m Multi Seat | Jan. 6th - Feb. 24th, 2022
Hello!
2nd practice task showed that Arcus is unbeatable yet...
Paul (57), Erik (EP) and Martin (MOV) were fastest! CGR gents!
Here you can see, from deck cam, how Martin made his great result:
Results on c-c: https://www.condor.club/comp/besttimes/0/?id=20269 (IGC index)
Overall: https://www.condor.club/comp/globalscore/211/?&id=649 (not yet)
Below points/positions with both indices.
Differences aren't big, but for sure IGC index gives the Arcus advantage.
Hope we will be able to change handicap on c-c to DAeC.
Or maybe next patch will make both gliders more competitive? let's hope...
BTW: Jochen's (JR4) ftr can't be converted, even with C2 itself - I suppose file on server is broken.
Top 3 routes:
See you on Day 1!

It's also funny that when the index is updated on Condor Club it also affects all completed competitions.

Hello!
We start the contest this Thursday. I know that not all have premium account at c-c, so here is the magnet link for Matamata 1.0 if you don’t have scenery yet: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:84b0625c911fa595fe18894e59e0e0b2fbd1504e&tr=http://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce
(BTW: Other sceneries also there: https://skylinescondor.com/landscapes)
Another mirror @ GDrive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... gLfRxZEl7h
Anyway - I highly recommend Condor Club as fast and reliable source of landscapes but also other great goodies like skins, PDA maps etc.
A Premium membership cost only 12 euros per year* and can be subscribed with PayPal** for an immediate availability.
IMHO worth to have it.
* curio: https://graphics.wsj.com/table/BEER_062415
** https://www.condor.club/members/premium/191/
I'd also like to thank Thierry for fixing Condor Club double seaters indices. TYVM!

Re: TCC :: Taupo Condor Competition :: 20 m Multi Seat | Jan. 6th - Feb. 24th, 2022
Indeed, Day1 was a good day. Due to the good weather the first 13 pilots out of 23 get over 900 points. Look at the picture with the point distribution. But don't expect such good weather for the next days.
