Appalachia 1.0 Released Today

Post by Jack Hart » Thu May 01, 2008 7:19 pm

Appalachia 1.0 is available for download now from http://www.weston-american.com

Go to the downloads page and scroll to the bottom. The password is "thermal". This password will work for the next few days until Appalachia 1.0 comes up on Speedbattle and/or my website approaches it's monthly bandwidth transfer limit. Unpack the zip file into your Condor\Landscapes directory. An Appalachia sub-directory will be automatically created.

The download has been tested and seems to be working fine. Give it a try in the morning.

The landscape has been sent to the folks at Speedbattle and should be up in a day or two

It seems that my ISP picked this weekend to "upgrade" servers. Unfortunately that means that service is going to be a littly "spotty".

Hopefully Speedbattle will have Appalachia 1.0 up soon.

Thanks all for your patience.

This Account Has Been Suspended
There could be several reason for this, below are the most common ones:

* They did not pay their account on time.
* They either Abused the system or violated our policies. (http://www.usmanbiz.com/policies.htm)
* The website was caught sending unsolicited emails (SPAM).
* The website was running illegal activities such as Warez, Bit-torrent, etc.
* We could be running some maintenance on the server and have suspended all account.

If you are the owner of this site please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible.
I rather guess you exceeded traffic limit or similar..

The last item applies, although I have considered setting up a porn site.

I'm happy that you're enjoying the scenery. Latest news from my webhosting service is that the wave of attempted downloads crashed their server just at a time when they were attempting transfers. They promise me that my website and regular email will be restored as soon as their server upgrade is complete....hopefully soon.

In the meantime, maybe Speedbattle will come thru and put up a download.

Thanks all for your patience.

After creating such a realistc scenery with alot of terragen rendering and layer work , it would be a cry shame not to follow this up with another ""putting it all together" tutorial :)

really nice scenery
