BD,

Use the command dos prompt to locate the directory where your bin has be, then type the following.

rename scenery.bin scenery.raw [press return]

That's all there is to it.

You will need to convert your raw file into a trn file using the RawToTrn tool.

The scenery Toolkit are all the tools that are required to create your own scenery, take a good look at the CST manual and if there is anything that you don't understand just post your question on this part of the forum..

There will be additional tools to download that will help in designing your scenery, these are listed in the CST manual.

JimStreet,

The .trn file that your trying to open in the CST Landscape Editor, does this happen everytime or just on the odd occasion, how big is the .trn file that your trying to open.

When you first open your scenery using CST Landscape editor the level at which the scenery is zoomed in at where a Terragen should fill approx 2/3 of the screen.

Hey ASW33, just got started.

GoogleEarth is working fine and so does the 3dem.

Im collecting the SRTM and looks like its going to need at least 7 x 5. Is it possible? Whats the max limit of terrain size?

Thx in advance.

Serginho,

I would suggest to start with when designing your scenery use either a 3x3, 3x4, 4x3 grid of 1x1 degree hgt tiles.
