Hi,
After reading tutorials and trying out many things for several days, I found a way to make photorealistic scenarios in a relatively simple way using the SAS.Planet and QGIS software.
I share this tutorial that I wrote based on the two existing ones. I hope this tutorial will be useful to someone.

Many thanks for this excellent guide.
I am fortunate in having 'Global Mapper' which means once the geotif is obtained it can be loaded straight into Global mapper and converted to UTM. There is then a facility to cut the image from a top left corner reference into 46080 metre squares. 46080 metre squares are perfect for Condor.
This has speeded up my scenery generation no end.

I suppose that there are many way to do this with QGIS. I'm not a expert in this software. Far away from that.Andy1248 wrote:Many thanks for this excellent guide.

It's good idea to research about it.

It's worth noting that SAS.Planet obtains its images from copyrighted sources and sceneries created using those images cannot be legally distributed to others. If you wish to make a scenery for distribution, use Landsat imagery.

You can obtain Landsat images with SAS. Look for ESRI->ArcGIS.Landsat.tberry wrote:It's worth noting that SAS.Planet obtains its images from copyrighted sources and sceneries created using those images cannot be legally distributed to others.
