Hi,
I asked the Matamata glidingclub New Zealand if they wanted to send me some photos of some buildings , no one has responded .
Are there pilots on this forum from New Zealand flying at this club. If so, on the screenshot the bildings i am looking for are markt.

Jan did you contact the soaring centre? They operate the airfield, not the gliding club.
Many contacts here http://msc.gliding.co.nz/about/contacts/

Contact David Moody.
Matamata runs a small condor training simulator.
Can you, please, have a look at this as well:
http://soar.co.nz/
Greytown Soaring Center is setting up the newest NZ gliding center in Greytown/Papawai.
This will be one of possibly four future major soaring centers of NZ.
Greytown has a 2500 meter north/south grasstrip and a (in process of completion) 1800 meter east/west grass strip for winch launching.
Regards
Allasawalah

Hi Allasawalah,
Thanks for your reaction
I have completed Matamata airport and leave it for what it is.
Are you a member of the club where you refer to?
If so, are this the airport buildings, do you have pictures, and are there new hangars?
Also, I need the exact position of the grass runway can you paint this in google earth.
Because I want to make the airports as realistic as possible with unique buildings, is the release of this scenery at the earliest after a year from now to expect.
Best regards Jan (WW)

Re: Scenery NewZealand North (Taupo extended)
Hi Jan,
thanks for your response.
To our topics:
1.
Are you still interested in some pictures for Matamata? I'm asking as a member of our club could take pictures of the buildings coming weekend.
2.
About Greytown/Papawai:
Yes, I am a member of the soaring center as a member of the Wellington Gliding Club (WGC). And I can provide you the pictures you need for the buildings.
I have to provide you with details of the strip as well as you are actually not even covering a third of the strip.
Have a look for AIP Papawai to get an impression of the strip (if you are not aware - all NZ airports can be dowloaded as AIP as below).
photographic layout and explanation of the buildings: (Note: the little yellow circle on the right should be a green X as well - launch point.)
3.
If you are not aware, you might see with my last picture I did not use Google material.
This is picture material you can draw from GIS NZ for free.
Available here https://koordinates.com/
with a resolution of 0.3 metres/px
4.
Are you aware of the all locations of the North Island gliding fields as described on the Gliding NZ webpage?
http://gliding.co.nz/clubs/map/
I'm just asking as some of them are a bit tricky to find, e.g. Kaitoke.
And Matamata is sometimes flying from Raglan as well.
Just send me an PM if you need more information.
Regards
A.

Re: Scenery NewZealand North (Taupo extended)
Hi, thanks for the response,
So the buildings on my screenshot are not those of the club but from the fruit plantation?
On your screenshot are the buildings of the Wellington Gliding Club, and buildings of Gliding Warapapa.
Can you make picture of these buildings?
Also like to now the dimentions of the buildings.
Then I will make this airport after fielding airport is ready.
Feilding airport buildings are almost ready. (screenshot)
Matamata: I would like to add the gas pump and the two buildings need pictures(see screenshot) The open places are optional but pictures are welcome.
Screenshot of scenery I am working on.
Had to cut off the North Cape by Condor scenery limitation.
I use Dropbox and Google drive.
Best regards,
Jan

Nice work, Jan, nice work!
Fielding looks like that, Matamata as well.
I will organise the pictures for the buildings and measurements.
Even of the fruit farm buildings ....
Will take about 1-2 weeks. Will send you a link with the pictures on PM.
My compliments, great work!

Hmmm, looking at the map you will be missing a nice club - Drury.
Just south of Auckland. Largest Gliding Club in NZ.
Great place to fly the sea breeze convergence to the south ...

Hi Allasawalla,
I unfortunately had to make this choice, there is no going back because I already have spent very much time on this scenery. Expanding is no option the huge increase in the coast line length makes it almost impossible to edit. , and more than 50% of the scenery is water than.
Cutting the North Island in two reduces this problem.
Maybe in the far future, part two New Zealand North -Aucland (no promise made)
Grts, Jan
