Wave clouds vs Cumulus rendering issue

In a task just today, I encountered an issue where lenticular wave clouds were seemingly rendered 'in front of' cumulus clouds, including a 'halo' of blue sky around the lenticular cloud. Is this a known issue? I searched the forum but didn't find anything.

The screenshots aren't amazing, sadly, but they do show the phenomenon.
