I have always been keen to fly the same race course that has already been flown by pilots way more experienced that I and to fly with the flight tracks of the top few pilots and the bottom few pilots flying along with me as ghosts so that I can see where and how they fly.
To try this I downloaded the flight plan for race 6 of the FAI e-Sport series recently flown along with the flight tracks of about 6 pilots who flew that race.
I loaded that flight plan and in it I added the flight tracks as ghosts. They had started the race in the air, but I prefer an aerotow. Everything looked like it might work. I could see the icons of 2 planes up high as I launched, but as I got closer I saw that they were just having there completely still! They also had no form because I could fly right through them without experiencing an impact. Flarm also did not show them as being there. So they were true ghosts, but they weren't keen to play. I was disappointed!.
How should one add ghosts into an individual flight with other gliders filling the sky with me?
If a flight plan is flown a few times, will the weather pattern, the thermals, the clouds etc. be repeated, in other words would ghosts be climbing in thermals under clouds that are not there anymore in my game?

Re: How to fly with Ghosts
Question about ghosts. On some certain players flight tracks listed on condor club, I see 1000, or 1014, etc ghosts in their flight. Is this accurate, are they really downloading 1000 ghosts, extracting, and individually clicking on 1000 checkboxes in the task setup?
