Error Message "not found"
Hello together,
I'm new in this forum.
Since weeks I have a problem with Condor 3. When I start the Simulator I get the error message "Nicht gefunden" Not found.
In the logfile I find the following lines:
Loading Setup.
Nicht gefunden.
ENTERING SETUP.
I have to enter the licence key for Condor and the plane everytime.
The Setup.ini in the pilots directory is updated (timestamp).
I hope that someone could help me!
with best regards
WinterFlug

Re: Error Message "not found"
I dont recall seeing that. FWIW, the next step in my logfile seems to be
Loading GUI skins.
Whatever is missing or why, I would just reinstall condor, and I assume that will fix it. Make sure you install condor in the root of your drive, not in program files.

Thank you for your message!
I have reinstalled Condor two times without a change!
But the information about the next line could help, perhaps?!
Have a nice day!

Re: Error Message "not found"
Hello Vertigo,
thank that you want to support me!
Yesterday evening I have followed your advice and have Condor 3 one more time installed!
I opened the simulator and after entering my pilotname I get the error message at once.
At this point there are only the two attached files in the log directory:
- C:\Condor3\Logs
-I can't find any other error file!
- In the user area the condor 3 directory is not yet available!
with many thanks
Winterflug
PS is it not possible to attach .txt files?

Re: Error Message "not found"
Something on your computer is preventing Condor from writing to MyDocuments.
Could be: Onedrive, GoogleDrive or virusscanner

You can post text files by pasting their content in your message, using the "code" tags: </> in the toolbar above the text box
It should look like :
[co de]Your text
.....
.....[/co de] (white space added in "code" to prevent interpretation)

Re: Error Message "not found"
Sounds like condor has trouble writing to the documents folder. Might be your antivirus, or cloud drive app (onedrive / google drive..) . See if disabling them helps.
As for the attachments on this forum, yeah, indeed. A simple workaround is zipping the files, as zip files are allowed. But PDFs work too
.
well, as others said

Re: Error Message "not found"
Hello Vertigo,
first I thank you for your advices!
I have tried every point but no change!
I have installed the system one more time (after I have remove everything form Condor what I could find on the PC).
After the installation the system created the directory Condor 3 and some subfolder all ok.
After change the setup or after a flight the system writes under the created directoy documents in the pilots / name sub folder some ini-files a logbook.txt erverything fine!
Stop Condor and start again the setup, the name, ... is ok only
the error message "not found" and the licence keys are missing!
Slowly I think I give up!
I can fly and in the meantime slowly I know my licence keys!
The message is to inaccurate to make a real analysis of the mistake (for example file xy in directory aaa not found or can't read ....)
Thank you and have a nice day!

Re: Error Message "not found"
This is a wild guess, but maybe the pilot name you use is causing this? Does it have any special characters condor may not like?
Though Id think even that should not cause you to have to re enter your license key. That is saved in the registry afaik. Still worth trying, make a new pilot with a "simple" name, see if that changes anything?
If it doesnt, three more things you can try, or that I would try;
first, run condor as administrator (right click, run as administrator).
Second, if you want to try yet another reinstall, you could this time also delete the registry keys, AFAIK these are the ones that matter:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Condor3
Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\cndr3
I doubt it will change anything, so the third option is mailing support: support@condorsoaring.com
Make sure to include your log files and maybe some screenshots or anything that could help.
