Hi this is HH1, Herminio Herrera from Madrid Spain.
Im new at Cóndor, but have a very long experience designing aerodynamic models for gliders in MSFS FSX. (ASW27B, DG808C, others). In my experience, apart of complying with the plane performance polar, the most importante thing to do well in a plane aerodynamic model design, is to achive a stability&control behabiour of the modeled plane as close as the real plane. Both stability and control behabiour are the key features of the glider plane aerodynamic model personality and character, appart from performance.
Now starting in cóndor i realized, the configuration of control inputs for ailerons, elevator, and rudder, parameters for ratio a nonlinearity is done at the entire simulator level, i mean same configuration for all planes, instead of being able to configure such parameters at plane level, i mean in a per plane basis. This obioulsly breaks, cut each plane individual personality and character of stability and control (mainly control) anf forces same control personality and behabiour of elevator, ailerons and rudder to all planes. It is a Big, very Big pitty, because the each plane model should have a own personality and character as part of their aerodynamic SOUL. I would suggest to the great cóndor development team to allow to configure elevator, ailerons rudder ratio and nonlinearity at plane level instead.
Condor is a technical wonder of XXI century, as egypt piramids, or the greek Partenón, or the Rome Coliseum. You should be so proud of yourselves, congrats
Kind regards
Herminio Herrera

Re: Planes Personality & Character & Soul
Each plane has an unique flight model based on the actual geometry of the glider. The EB29R flies very differently from a Diana2. They even fly differently depending on the flap setting. It is not just the glide ratio that is different.

Re: Planes Personality & Character & Soul
The settings you refer to only apply to translating the physical joystick/rudder controls to condor's virtual stick/pedals. This may be needed for people with (in)sensitive joysticks, small sticks, huge sticks etc (pls dont quote this out of context
). Condor developers have no control over that. But there is no real reason this should be different for different planes, only for different joysticks; as Wiek said, condor planes all have unique, accurate and (very) different flight characteristics.
