Re: Condor 3 Bugs
The patch installer for 3.0.3 still displays an error message during the lxsim update, when condor is installed to a different drive (in my case d:\condor3).
"IPersistFile::Save failed; code 0x80070003.
The system cannot fine the path specified.
After pressing "ok" on the error dialog it tells me "Update Complete"

Re: Condor 3 Bugs
I recreated the situation, with an attached screenshot. I hope that's adequate to find the issue.dgtfer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2024 11:35 amFolken did not provide a screenshot showing the glider's position, and I couldn't find anything special. Unterwoessen is very close to the northern (3 km) and western (2 km) boundaries. I guess he made a mistake when he said east and west.n98Bk9-NT3 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 3:16 amHave you solved this issue?folken wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 7:28 pm
There is a strange invisble wall on the mountain east of unterwössern on slovenia 3. It's not near the edge of the map, its just beside the airport.
I want to know what happened because I have similar problem on my scenery.

Re: Condor 3 Bugs
It is not an issue. It is the edge of the scenery.

The flyable edge is 1/4 of a scenery tile away from the edge of the map. A tile is 23 km by 23 km. So guessing that's what you've encountered.

Thanks wickid. Shudda realised that....wickid wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 11:22 amThis is very useful feature actually. For regatta starts the TTG will be to the nearest point instead of to the center of the sector. So you can time your start much better. Same with normal starts, you can rely on the flight computer DDH calculations to get the most optimal start. For the finish your navigation guides you the shortest way to the finish instead of to the center. If you come at an angle, your DDH will also be much more accurate. There can be more than 100 meter DDH difference between shortest way and center of the sector. So you don't have to climb as much saving you time, and you fly a shorter route, saving you even more time.
Another question for the knowledgeable.... can't seem to restart tasks. With C2 it happened easily - sometimes restart msgs were a distraction when thermaling close to the start line. On C3 can't seem to trigger a restart even though below max height and GS. Is there some additional setting that needs to be made?

Is it still before the end of the start time? And you have not turned turnpoint 1 yet?Geepers wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 9:17 pmAnother question for the knowledgeable.... can't seem to restart tasks. Or you have set the start time to 0 (regatta start). The you can only start once.

Re: Condor 3 Bugs
Is there something you can improve on aircraft stability and control model?
Airplanes are rolling and yawing like hell.
Further it is recommended to have a little manual override effect of the autorudder to better enable thermal centering like in real.
Thank you

Try reducing the turbulance settings on your weather. Light or none will be very smooth, higher than that will be realistic rough air.

Re: Condor 3 Bugs
Under windows display setting under scale and layout if I change the size of text, app and other item to say 150% condor gets a grainy effect more so the high you set the size, I like to run 125% so I can read stuff on the screen without having the strain my eyes and is one reason I actually have a large monitor. The LXsim is unaffected and so is everything else I run on my PC including xplane 11 except of course the size of text in some apps like chrome but that's a good thing.
This is with font size 150%

These are unedited screen shots and you can see the difference.

Re: Condor 3 Bugs
Here is another one.
Why does Condor change my windows master microphone volume when in multiplayer. I have found the only way around this is to set to mike volume in condor to the same as windows which is something I have never needed to do for other products like teamspeak & zoom as they just set their own volume level and leave the mater alone.

Re: Condor 3 Bugs
I have 2 monitors
If I setup monitor 2 to be +130 degrees
Ok
Then go back in it says 1 deg
It looks like it is working just a display issue for the dialog box
Can also be replicate by going monitor 2 -> monitor 1 -> monitor 2 in the top drop down combo.

I am thinking,
for the flight planner dialog | NOTAMs and when using the Australian unit of measure...
Re: rope length.
The rope length should be in meters, as this is what it is referred to at a club.

Re: Condor 3 Bugs
This is an issue I already reported. When using windows screen scaling, condor renders at an incorrect lower resolution (2/3 when using 150%, 1/2 when using 200% etc).avanspron wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 5:59 amUnder windows display setting under scale and layout if I change the size of text, app and other item to say 150% condor gets a grainy effect more so the high you set the size, I like to run 125% so I can read stuff on the screen without having the strain my eyes and is one reason I actually have a large monitor.
Condor disables screen scaling by overriding the high DPI scaling setting but ONLY when you run it in full screen (at least once). So do that, go to option, set full screen (not full screen emulation), run condor. That will trigger condor to override the high dpi scaling. You may get a popup about compatibilty, just ignore that, set it back to full screen emulation.
From then on, condor will render at the correct resolution, however, the GUI will also no longer be scaled. There is no solution for that (other than using windows magnifying glass)
