Condor 3 Bugs

Post by cthaeler » Tue Oct 29, 2024 4:39 pm

Just noticed that the download link in the Condor3 manual appears to be wrong:
EN pg 9 says:
http://www.condorsoaring.com/downloads-2
but should be:
https://www.condorsoaring.com/v3downloads

No rush AT ALL. Since I found it I figured I'd start a generic thread and hope that others just add reports to it then go away without being annoying
:D

HUGE thanks for all your efforts!

Eh.. I wanted to, but its hosted on the same servers as C3 I guess and those are having a hard time. So now I have an excuse to just ask here :), as I dont know if its a bug or how its supposed to work.

Im trying to change my vario settings or lx settings to get some speed to fly indication. When I use the LX simulator window, the setting changes dont appear to carry over to condor and most do not persist, they revert immediately to the previous settings with a few exceptions.
But I can not do it in the condor LX either, or at least not yet, because I cant assign a HAT or anything for the LX joystick:

none of my joystick and throttle hats are recognized as hats (not in windows either, they are just 4 or 5 buttons). I have a 2 axis analog thumb controller on my throttle too, that condor wont accept either. What does it want?

Once in flight, the game freezes? what could be the reason?

I've found 2 bugs so far - one is pretty serious and the other was confusing, but there is a workaround:

1: When setting window mode to Fullscreen with Vertical Sync Enabled (Checked) - I am getting around 20 FPS - which is BAD (3060 Ti with 8GB VRAM). If I then uncheck Vertical Sync - my FPS jumps up to 59.9 (which is the sync rate of my monitor) - weird - is this check-box inverted? Note - this is with a G-Sync enabled monitor and graphics card. I feel like with a 3060 Ti and Corei7 cpus, I should be getting much higher than 20FPS.

2: Even after changing the units to Imperial, all the units on the NOTAM screen are still in Metric. As you adjust any of the sliders, the unit will then jump to imperial. This seems to happen after every re-launch of the app.

Edit:

I figured out the issue I was having with FPS... If you have v-sync enabled in the nvidia control panel, and you also enable it in the Condor settings, it seems to mess up the fps.

So the solution is to make sure you have v-sync enabled in only one place - either in the nvidia control panel, or in Condor settings, but not both.

Can't get trim center assignment working with my FFB2 button in any planes (worked with Condor1 & 2).
Anyone else having same issue?

The Flarm warning on the LX9k Screen is 90Degrees off compared to the Flarm Display. The Flarm display seems to be correct.

VR Performance is... intermittent. I have occasional lockups in mulitplayer when server there is a join.
Occasionally it happens that there is 10hz flickering between left/right eye.

There is considerable input lag. The joystick moves, but it takes a long time across the horizontal axis until something is happening. The LS8 15m feels like an ASH25 in that regard.

The default profile for the lx could use some tuning. Hard to read, even with a very good headset.

(I don't want to diminish the product. Its a great sim. :-)

I don´t know if anybody else have this problem...

I made a flight with the LS4 and had stick trim activated. I could use the bugwipers 2-3 times, but on the way back the left hand of the pilot was stuck at the trimlever.
So i can´t use airbrakes and bugwipers anymore and can´t use the gear too.

Maybe it was a random bug. Hopefully it will fixed soon.

Something positive... i had a lot of fun with the new settings.
Big shoutout the development team, good job!

What is stick (and pedal) force simulation set to in your input settings? It defaults to middle. I think most everyone turns it all the way down as all it does is create lag.

Not sure this is the cause for my C3, but same settings in C2 (about 80%?) never gave me lag problem..

Update: It's been confirmed by OXO in other message to be the case.

Don't know how exactly how I get there (but from Condor3 in fligth using all LxSim assigned controls) : "LxSim is shuting down. Please wait".
And then it's not possible to get LXSim back (or I haven't found) without exit the fly.

To all experiencing bugs in Condor 3:
Maybe it is because you bought the cheaper version not equipped with bugwipers?
(ba dum tsk)
