I’m a bit out of touch with Condor so have been trying to see what new features may be coming etc.
Initially I tried to search for “Condor 3” but I got the following error:
“The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: condor 3.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards”
Whilst the default behaviour states it’s an exact match, I tried enclosing the search in quotes and got the same result.
To narrow the search further, I set it to only search posts in the last few months (same message) and then, just posts from the last few days (same message), so it appears that the exclusion list is using ANY mention of Condor as opposed to more focused mentions/exact matches for “condor 3”.
As a lot of the existing forum content relates to v2, it would be good if the search feature could be updated to support version specific mentions.
I appreciate updating the search function adds to the dev teams workload. However, it may actually save time in the long run as people will be more able to self-help themselves (eg seeing if their question has already been asked, issues solved etc) thus reducing the number of posts requiring responses from the dev team.
Thanks
