We fly mostly on AA2 anyways in the Alps
To be precise, I don't belong to the group you call "we". And I believe there are many more outside that group.

I'm slightly surprised nobody has commented on the 39 Airfields in Slovenia 3. That has been a mountain of work for our modellers.

I commented OXO! I thought that would be all that matters

But seriously, my "cool" wasn't an "oh yeah cool", it was a proper cool!! I've been a long time supporter of Condor and very excited about the release of Condor 3.

My sincere thanks to all of the guys that have helped out getting Condor 3 off the ground!!! It's easy to forget as an end user, the amount of work that goes into Condor.

I finally had a moment to settle down and I compared the new Slovenia 3 map to a real map and OMG it's HUGE!

A truly wonderful place to start for new simmers.
Postojna is no longer a pain in my empennage.

Here's the Slovenia2 map overlaid over the C3 one, very nice!

Good news, finally. tnx

Missed Varaždin, Čakovec, Koprivnica :( :( :(
Can you post links to their websites please. There may be time to add them. No promises though!
Lučko is no longer operational for gliding, many have moved to LDVC https://aeroklub-medjimurje.hr/ or LDVK http://akkrilakoprivnice.com/aeroderom/
LDVA is in my city, https://www.varazdinaerodrome.eu/ mainly for GA

tnx

We will keep Lucko, and will look at adding LDVC and LDVK. From what I can see online, there is no gliding at LDVA so we won't add that one.

Slovenia 3 is for sure a very nice landscape and I will use it. I liked Slovenia 2, but it was a little bit to small in my opinion. So Slovenia 3 will be a great landscape and a fun to fly there.

What I'm most interested to see regarding landscapes in C3 is the tool to create automatically objects for buildings with OSM data (no screenshot needed yet, I can wait).

I'm missing fantasy how that will work in a landscape where 40 million people live, but I'm able to be surprised (that doesn't happen often). Knowing it will be a big job to check all airports after using that tool (more than 4500 on my landscapes until now), I expect a big improvement for them. And how I will find the place in the generated object to kill the building placed in the middle of a runway, I will learn then.

Only to create trees with OSM needs 3 weeks non stop calculation, will see what happens with the buidlings.

The last screen shot came while I was writing. Nice picture, are the buidlings made with that tool?

Yes they are. It is a plugin for Blender.

The Blender plugin looks like this:

CondorOSM.JPG

In summary:

The top part allows you to select the landscape you are working on and which patches you are processing. Then there are 4 options:

The first one (Export autogen buildings) is fully automated and can process multiple patches in batches. That is why you can specify min and max values. It will automatically import the data from the Open streetmap servers and create a patch sized .obj file for conversion to c3d. The updated landscape editor can batch process these into c3d for use in Condor.

The second option (Patch viewer) allows you to open any patch and see the imported buildings. Here you can modify, add or remove buildings directly onto the terrain. It opens the patch and shows the terrain used in Condor including the texture. Once you are finished you can export it back to .obj for conversion. I think this answers 6266's question about removing the objects around airports  . This also means there is no need anymore to manually place objects via the landscape editor. It can all be done directly in Blender with milimeter precision.

Third option is the powerline importer. This is a more manual process. I can only import the tower locations and orientation. I cannot autoplace the correct pylon type. I've added some assets in a special blender file to make the process easier. I've created a nodetree that dynamically creates realistic cables between the pylons. They correctly sag due to gravity depending on the distance between pylons and they rotate correctly when the line goes around a corner. I've added several different pylon types, but I can assist in creating more different types when needed.

Fourth option is to help create airports. More on that at a later point.
