On my side, I wear glasses, and I use the HP reverb G2. I also fly in real life. I find those experiences extremely close. I've never been sick with neither.Andy1248 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 11:18 pmI did once try Condor VR with Oculus Rift. But had problems with the fact that I wear glasses all the time. I tried the VR both with and without the glasses. Niether were satisfactory for me. Although I know that you can get prescription lenses for VR.
The final decider was experiencing nausea whilst in VR.
I must admit though it was a very immersive experience.

I wear glasses and tried VR using an HP reverb G2 too, with spacer to allow for glasses. It worked OK for me. I felt a little funny at first doing loops and rolls etc but after a while settled. For some it does take time to get used to VR and they will have to build up slowly to be able to fly for extended periods. I only flew for maybe 30 to 45mins in MSFS so don't know how I'll get on with long thermal tasks yet. I hope to find out one day.ryanto wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 10:26 amOn my side, I wear glasses, and I use the HP reverb G2. I also fly in real life. I find those experiences extremely close. I believe it's worth it to try again. I think it's way more natural after a while. It will teach you better to look out, and use the outside rather than the instruments.
Also, for long flights, I think it's even better than a screen because you don't look at a screen that is 60cm away from your nose but, rather at things that are at the proper distance. I find it less tiring for the eyes.

My issue will be the CPU as I have a 1 TB external HD for the Landscapes. I have more that I need anyhow.

It has been 5 months actually. 6 months would be early March.

Re: Condor 3 landscape images
There will be, closer to launch.
In autumn, one feature we thought we had working well turned out to need more work, and that has put our schedule behind. We did think we could catch up but that is not possible, so the 6 months estimate is delayed.
I am reluctant to provide any new estimate at this time. Just be assured we are working hard to get it ready.

Why cannot you share anyting? Condor has basically no competition on the market.
Also, many people are expecting release in about a month as it was originally said.
The community would appreciate some insight in my opinion.
I am not saying you are obliged to inform us, future customers, you do as you wish, but It would be a nice gesture to keep people at least somewhat up to date...

Re: Condor 3 landscape images
If you had the choice between the team spending their time taking screenshots or working on development, what would you choose?
What is the advantage to see a picture of a plane like it looks in Condor 3 now? Maybe it will look a little bit different when it's finished, what then?
I don't understand these requests preventing the team from working on the important things. IRWIR, the more discussions, the later they are ready. And who cares if they promised it will be done in 6 months and it isn't? Do you like a buggy version in time more than a good version later?
You have got the most important insight today: It's not ready yet. And that should be enough for now
My 5 cent ...

Have to disagree here 6266.
Posting a few screenshots takes a few minutes, and therefore has no meaningful impact on the overall work load of the team.
Even adding a disclaimer like "Work in progress, this does not depict the final product" can be done within 2 minutes, if not less.
New screenshots would definitively give us some "propaganda posters" to advertise C3 on other websites and forums and help building a hype around it (at its own level of course).

Re: Condor 3 landscape images
More screenshots isnt going to make anything happen any faster. It doesnt weigh on a decision to buy V2, since V3 is a free upgrade for recent buyers. Hype is rarely a good thing, it tends to lead to disappointment. Id rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.
Also, if they hadnt said anything about v3, you wouldnt be asking for (more) screenshots, and they wouldnt have to respond to demands for ever more info or explain shifting timelines. Give us a finger, and we want the whole hand.
Just be patient, or ignore V3 and enjoy V2.
