CoMoMap: Yet another navigation software (V1.2)

Post by Bre901 » Mon Feb 06, 2023 9:40 pm

Some VerifLocal users have suggested that I use it as a basis for some nav software for Condor

As I have added the possibility to compute extensively the reachable area in VerifLocal (V4 coming soon), I have used it as a basis for my new software : CoMoMap (COndor MOving MAP).

A wind-shaded map is available (wind from the FPL), see below

It is available for beta-testing, preferably by users who are already familiar with my tools as the documentation is minimal (I'll start working on the manual after beta-testing). Please read the README.txt file before you start using it.

It can be downloaded from my GD : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uBEgWJ ... share_link

If you download it, feedback (even like "no bugs found") would be greatly appreciated.

Even if you don't test it, comments and suggestions are more than welcome

Half a dozen people were able to ask for access this morning, and I already got feedback from people who successfully downloaded it.
I don't see what your issue is

No google account, no download ...

Looks great, but I don't need it, only need the confirmation that it doesn't work without pda

Thanks

It will be available on my webpage once released

It uses NMEA data just like all nav software, so it won't work for no-PDA tasks (that's why I keep it separate from CoTASA)

I've got it downloaded. Have the virtual serial ports created (COM6 and COM7). Everything is setup as I believe it should be according to the readme. However, when I start it I get this error (shows quickly in the terminal, I had to open a terminal and start it via command line in order to see the error):

Thanks for reporting, I'll take a look at that

I took the liberty to edit your post in order to make the thread more readable.

Notes to all beta-testers :

Please use the mail address that is in the README file to report issues

More than half of those who downloaded CoMoMap did not send any feedback
Beta testing is not a one-way street, it's primarily supposed to help improve the product
... a nie w uzyskaniu przewagę w konkursach dzięki temu, że jako jedyni mamy aplikację

If you are not a CoTASA user, please note that you have to enable UDP in Condor
Please take a look at the CoTASA manual, page 3, "Condor parameters: UDP.ini file" https://condorutill.fr/CoTASA/Manual_EN.pdf

I plan to release a new version in the coming days that will include some improvements and bug fixes (there are a few beta testers out there who are playing the game and have reported and made suggestions).

I have received some download requests lately, they will be put on hold until the next beta release

I'm back home after a month away. I'll have a look when the new version is available.

Many thanks, Bre901, for all your incredible utilities!
