Trim lever position in take-off/ level flight

Post by juro » Tue Oct 11, 2022 4:22 pm

Hello all, I fly Twin Astir as a student. For take-off, 4/5 to full forward position is used and in the moment the plane takes off at 80 kph (in a tow), I retrim it to a bit forward of middle position. After release trim stays about in the middle for 100-120 kph speed circles.

In Condor, I utilize just the forward 20% of the trim range. Take off with full trim forward, fly level with trim at 4/5. Trim at middle position makes all gliders to pitch up, probably like full back trim IRL.

Is it possible to tune the trim curve like it is possible in other flight simulators (DCS, IL2), to decrease the trim effectiveness so the whole range of the trim can be used (e.g. with centered trim, the glider flies about its best gliding speed).

I use TM Warthog throttle, outer lever for air brake and inner lever for trim. Thanks.
