I'm a newbie to Condor, but have a small amount of IRL soaring experience from years ago. I've noticed that after release from flying on tow, the towplane turns right (and presumably the sailplane should turn left). I was always taught that the towplane should turn to the left, and checking my old Tom Knauff book Glider Basics, that indeed seems to be the convention. Is this just a difference between European and American conventions, or there some other reason for the difference? Is there a checkbox I'm missing that will change the direction the towplane flies on release?
Loving this sim, BTW - in VR on my Quest 2 it's stunning.
Towplane release direction?
Re: Towplane release direction?
The towplane in Condor turns the shortest way back to the airport. Several countries have different conventions.
