Hello everyone.

A feature for Condor 3 would be a simple activation of all already purchased aircraft. If I am correctly informed, all previous aircraft activation codes should also work for Condor 3. It would be nice if either Condor 3 is automatically connected to the online account or you could paste all activation codes from the clipboard into the settings and activate everything as a batch.

Absolutely dream version: Merge function of the previous licences into a single one...

Best regards in full expectation of the release.

Hi All,

I thought of a very useful feature I'd love to see in Condor someday.
I apologize if the concept's been proposed already.

Effectively, I'd like to "Continue a flight from here" during a replay. One could think of it as a rewind and keep going, try this instead, or a do over. The value would be able to do "what if" flying, making different decisions at points in a flight and then be able to compare the results.

Let me set up the scenario. I'm new to XC and Racing with about 10 races under my belt. I flew two races this week where I believe I was doing very well, right up to a decision point in the race:
  • Should I continue this weak climb since I'm low or set off for the next thermal/ridge?
  • Should I deviate and possibly backtrack to get a good climb?
  • Should I slow down and preserve altitude?
  • Should I along the cloud street to the left or ridge to the right?
In both races, I made risky decisions trying to stay with the leaders, sometimes spurred on by what others in front of me chose to do. The decisions resulted in not completing either task.

I found myself wanting to go back and fly the "what if" path(s) and then be able to compare myself against the top results.

It seems like it would be possible to fly from a time in a replay, sort of a "continue flying from here," such that the aircraft state and weather model would match the original live flight, resulting in a new .ftr/.igc file that could be analyzed. I wouldn't need the ghosts of other pilots, but I suppose I could add them in if desired.

I can see this as a useful feature for all sorts of training situations.

It needs a good feature name!

PDA able to scroll the map without changing the zoom

I always fly with VR goggles so I cannot have a printed map or a photo in a tablet to guide my decisions. It has happened more than once that I was not able to follow the path that I intended because I had issues reading the PDA map due to its limited size. It would be great if I had a button to move the map up/down right/left without zooming in or out. I have a button on top of my joystick that is perfect for this!

Look into using XCSoar, which is free to use. There’s lots of information available in this forum. You can pin XCSoar into your VR and then use a couple of programs to tether joystick buttons to manipulate XCSoar.

I am hoping this is the correct thread to make a Condor 3 Feature Request.

I am an glider aerobatic pilot that flies the Swift S-1 in Condor and a MDM-1 Fox IRL. To better analyze my flights post-flight, being able to see the Saved flight in ALL the different camera views would be extremely beneficial, especially seeing the flight from outside the cockpit and from the ground (like a Judge would see it). Currently, the Saved flight is viewable only in the view it was saved in. The issue there is it is difficult to fly the figures correctly from outside the cockpit. Ideally, I would like to fly the figures from within the cockpit like IRL, save the flight, then on playback toggle through the different camera views to analyze the flight.

Thank you for any consideration to this request and to all the hard work you're putting into Condor.

Replay from the cockpit of other pilots (who posted the flight track in condor.club)

I use Condor, mostly, to improve my flying skills in real life and the best way I found, until now, is to participate in life events and try to observe the best pilots. Having the option to download flight tracks and use the ghost feature is already very good. But it would be even better if it was possible to review the flight of other pilots (and my own) from the cockpit. Many times, small differences in the energy lines that we follow or speed that we fly make a huge difference on time to complete the task.

Hello
It would be interesting for tasksetters to be able to limit altitude gain with the miracle button in mountain flights.
Regaining 100/150m after a crash would be more than enough, we'd keep the penalties of course, but the pilot would still have to apply himself to get out of it for good.
