Recommended Hardware

Post by FlightDog » Sun Aug 29, 2021 3:23 am

Hey there, I'm a newbie to the forum and to Condor2, looking to purchase some new equipment like a joystick, alot of choices out there and wondering what the best options are, will any forcedfeedback joystick work or are there specific models that work better with Condor?

Thanks in Advance,

I personally use a Saitek (now Logitech) X52. It's advantage is that it has lots of buttons, switches and dials. You can map almost everything on the Joystick and throttle. It is not force feedback but I do not think it is really neccessary.
If you want to go the FF route there is the always-reccomended Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. Which is an old Joystick traded only second hand on Ebay and such. I have actually bought one like a year ago but sold it beacuse it just wasn't for me. I bought mine for like 30 euros.
I highly reccomend a HOTAS system (like my x52) because of the many buttons etc. It retails around 120-140 euros which is a decent price.
You might also buy something basic and use the keyboard for commands.
If you Google "Condor Joystick" you will find a couple of threads in the topic.
