Modifying Panel Layout

Post by Lenticular » Tue Jun 08, 2021 7:37 am

Hi,

Is there an easy way to figure out the coordinates required to place instruments on a panel?

I want to modify the layout of the JS1-C, but I can't quite figure out the panel configuration.

Thanks in advance!

Unless you have the 3D model it is trial and error. Look at the original gauge coordinates to get a rough position and work from there.

Use a text editor to modify the .gau file (I would recommend to make a backup copy before)

Hint : the gauge coordinates are metres

OK! Thanks both!

If I have any problems I'll post back.

Actually I do have a question : Can you change the instruments ? For example swap that massive TV screen for the smaller Calculator used in the DG 100 ?

No. That is not part of the .gau file. The navigation system is part of the 3D model and can not be changed.
