Help With Input Linearity and Ratio

Post by NaderFam » Sun Mar 21, 2021 3:46 am

I have flown over 30 hours now and still have problem with the response of the default School plane (Duo Discus) when being towed. No problem with winch lift.

I cheat and use Free Flight to test other planes. I have had very good luck with the Blanik in towing.

The problem feels to be the response time of the plane. The Blanik's agility helps respond to the tow's banking and being moved about by the atmosphere. I can't get the same response with the Duo Discus using various Linearity and Ration Setting.

How can you make the Duo Discus more responsive? Is the much larger wing span that hinders such adjustments?

Or any other suggestion for learning more about being towed, such as adjusting to calmer weather settings somehow.

Thanks.

At the bottom of the Options area of the Input tab there are two stick force simulation sliders, they add dampening to the controls to make inputs seem more or less "heavy." You might try turning them down some to see if it helps?
