Have you tried moving the FLIGHT PLANNER window to the top of your screen ?
What is your screen resolution ?
I have edited the title of your message as it was not very clear

After you have selected 'Plane type' (it becomes blue), you can scroll up and down with your keyboard up and down arrow keys...
