PDA not working

Post by David Broadhurst DPB » Thu Mar 04, 2021 4:38 pm

The PDA is not working in my Condor 2.
How do I restore its function, please?

Tick the PDA box in the NOTAM tab in the flightplanner. It is in the middle column there.

In the NOTAM setup PDA is enabled. It is not, however, displaying ( only a grey screen) in the cockpit. It does "click" when moving between screens - even though nothing shows. Suggestions appreciated.

What plane does this happen. Is it on every plane? And do you have a screenshot?

I'm guessing something is not quite right with your install seeing your other post as well.

What you can try is to delete (or move if you want to save your logbook and flighttracks) the Condor folder in your MyDocuments and create a new pilot.

If that doesn't solve it I'd suggest a reinstall of Condor to see if that fixes it. Move the landscapes you downloaded first so you don't have to redownload them.

I was hoping not to have to do this It has only just gone wrong and I have no notion what has caused it. My computer spec includes Direct X 12 so what is causing the problem with planeviewer I have no idea. I shall move my logbook, tracks and scenery files and do a new install.

I have traced this problem to Bullguard, the Antivirus software installed on this machine. It interfears with the downloads from Condor updater allowing some of the update through but not all. It quarantines the software but won't release it. 2.1.6 was partially blocked even though Condor2 was showing it as functional and Hanger 19 equally partial.
Worth checking your antivirus software off when installing updates then checking function of Condor2 and then restoring the antivirus.
