Condor crash at CWC 2021

After a lot of expectation and almost finishing the first race of CWC 2021 the Condor just froze.
You can see all the problems in the video linked below.

I am so frustrated now, I am sure I was going to have a very good result.
80Km from final with altitude for VNE to the finish line.

It can not be a competition simulator if it crashes and drops pilots from the game.

Please check it.

I watched your video. What I can find is that Condor is denied access to a file by your system. Could be virusscanner, google drive app or something else on your computer that isn't letting Condor read or write to a file that is required to run Condor.

No Anti-Virus on this computer, no google drive too.
All windows update was suspended.
I can play games for days without a crash.

You can see in Task Manager I was using only 13% CPU and 57% memory, even streaming.

You can see all the computer was running ok.
Not a single frame drop on OBS Stream Lab, so it was not internet.

Not a single glitch on the music or Team Speak.

Everything was working, only Condor Froze.

I was 3 months away from Condor and just came back to try to have a good result on WCC.
I take it seriously and it is VERY sad to skip a race I had a good chance to win or have 990+ points.

😥

And I understand it is fustrating:
I/O error 32 means "SHARING VIOLATION", in other words: you're trying to access a file which is in use by some other process
So something on your system is denying Condor access. I have never had this error on my system so I can't help you any further. I have read people with the google drive app or some online backup programs are having issues like this.

Hi,

The only diferent thing happened few seconds before the crash was a alert from Nvidia Experience about a new drive available to download.
Nvidia do not download or instal it on auto, the program just give you a alert about a new drive release.
Do you think it has any relation?

Regards.

Cristiano

Probably yes, if you search for Nvidia Experience in the forum, you will only find negative opinions (I have un-installed it)

Are you 100% sure about this? Windows comes with Defender, its own antivirus. Anti ransomware is also provided but disabled by default, you should have a look.

+1

Maybe it is or is not Nvidia GeForce Experience, but this is a good place to start the process Conrado.

When you install a new nVidia driver, always select custom install and untick the GeForce Experience to avoid unpleasant
problems.

Unfortunately, I also had a Condor crash once when the Nvidia Experience notification appeared.
I don't know how this is related, but it is a fact

Nvidia Experience bloatware, ditch it and never look back!

I've said in previous threads on here I was one of the unlucky ones who accidentally installed it in the early days of it's release and each time I booted my PC Nvidia Experience caused chunks of my C: drive to be deleted! crazy. Luckily I realised pretty quickly, uninstalled, problem solved.

I have a personal hate for autoupdater's. Let me know if there is a new piece of software and I'll then read the update notes and decide whether I need it or not and install at my own leisure.

To not install all nVidia bloatware there is nice tool...

TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker - install only minimal needed drivers

https://github.com/ElPumpo/TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker

Please read carefully short manual: Fully utilize the minimal installer feature
https://github.com/ElPumpo/TinyNvidiaUp ... er-feature

GL!

That looks more like a file access problem (I/O Error 32). When did that happen in the flight ?

Anti-ransomware blocking write access to a file maybe.

The error the first post was the same. Also an I/O 32 error. This is indeed an access denied error. Usually happens when a program tries to read or write to a file that is in use by a different program. That second program then denies access to the program trying to read/write. Could be virus scan, google drive app, or nvidia experience as suggested above.
