Do you have this problem in the Slovenia landscape? This is the only landscape that is supported by and tested on by the Condor team. There have been no reports of issues with the top settings on this landscape. AA2 is a third party addon. Recommended size for landscapes from the offical guide to making scenery is 1 UTM zone. AA2 coveres 3 zones. So it is much larger then the recommended maximum size.

Depuis quelques temps quand j'appuis sur la touche "exposant ²"l'image se fige si j'attends un peu ça revient à la normale mais bien souvant on ai éjecté du réseau.Et ceci sur n'importe qu'elle scène.

No, this problem occurred on AA2, but again, I've been flying plenty of tasks on it at current settings on my current hardware (with the current version of the landscape) without issue until the latest update. It remains to be seen whether this happens again but it's certainly interesting that others are seeing similar issues recently.

The warning on the download page applies to the 32 bit version of Windows, which I am not running.

Hey I got the same problems and exactly the same bug. In my case I found out that when condor crashed it had something to do with the text and the outside views. It makes sense that the ` key probably causes the delays or is one of the bugs. First I thought it is because I am running my Condor on a Macbook Pro 2019 via Bootcamp, but it seems that a lot of regular windows machines have the same bug as well. I fly a lot of online tasks every week and I am connected to many people, also we got at DVAEC an own Teamspeak channel called “Marburg Open”, also we got an own virtual soaring group in whatsapp and fly a lot together. What I want to point out is, that 2 other guys I’m flying with ALL the time had the same issues and finally got kicked out the race. Both have regular windows machines. I had that so many times and it is frustrating, when 12 people have fun and whats left is to watch them in spectator mode. @Uros @Developers. Please don’t ignore this problem. You need to work on condors stability. It’s not a hardware issue. It’s not my Mac, the problem is condor by itself!

I’ll try to ban the ` toggle from the config. Maybe it helps. But last not least, I’d like to get some support from the developers.

It was recorded online in Slovenia scenery with only 3 pilots and nothing was said on the chat, HW Spec: 32Gb ram, Ryzen 5 3600, Radeon 5700XT - around 150FPS as shown on video.
EVERYTIME it happenes only when I press the ` key.
First hang is at 0:10 sec and starts exactly when i press the ` key,
and ends when finally "STOP JOIN" message appears.
Then after short time represses of ` don't cause hang,
but if I wait more- at 0:33 I press ` and is a micro delay,
then wait longer and at 1:46 you can see that the hang is longer, then after shorter while at 2:14 is smaller one and after longer wait I press at 3:13 and the hang is longer.
As if some algorithm had quadratic or maybe even exponential complexity that builds up with time betweeen ` presses.
I flew next 3 online tasks and restrained from pressing ` and hadn't got any hangs so this my issue is exactly related to ` functionality.
Hope this helps to resolve the issue and I am sure it didn't exist on same HW from around september till 2.1.4 version.

If you do not turn the HUD off the bug will not occur. We have found it and it is reported to the Dev team. It occurs only when a message arrives when the HUD is off. If you then turn the HUD back on the observed freeze happens. The lenght of the freeze depends on how many messages were received when the HUD was off. In some cases the lenght of the freeze will cause a disconnect from the server.

On the AA2 issue: Note that AA2 had an update recently that added a massive amount of trees and 3D and therefore memory consumption. This combined with the additional planes in the latest version which have larger/more textures may cause out of memory errors when using maximum graphic settings combined with large resolutions. Testing is done only with the default slovenia landscape and no issues are reported there. I personally play on max settings at 1080p but I never had an out of memory in AA2.

I just disabled the HUD Toogle and let you guys informed if this will eliminate the crashes totaly. As a college student and during corona I fly every day. As I just said you can notice a little crack in the sound as you see in the video of the guy flying the Ka8. When my condor freezes it is often when causing this crack and pressed the HUD in the past. And yes I played a lot with the HUD toogle before and it makes totaly sense what you guys found out already. Hopefully the Condor Team gets this straighted out. I'd recommend to remove this bug instead of making new gliders or more features in the next patch. I mean there are a lot of things which could be improved, such as cload streeting and the durability of a cload for example. But in terms of a large growing multiplayer community it would make condor much more interesting for professional use.

Does anybody got any information how far they already worked on a patch to remove the bug?

I get this error today in the CW-B [2.0] scenery. I heard the sound of incoming message, but didn't saw it. I pressed '^' to make it visible and after it the screen was frozen. Condor did not react on any key. I have left it by task manager. I add my logfile and errorlog.

It seems not to be a problem with the scenery. CW-B was small in comparison to AA2 and others. It was made by the same author (Milos Koch) who made Slovenia2.

I totally agree what he said. The bug doesn‘t occur more in large landscapes. Basically they work all the same. I know that some people criticized the size of AA2 but I can’t see any difference in terms of performance loss compared to others. If i was making a list of a Top 5 freezing Maps they would all have the same points. I now banned the HUD Toogle from my config and flew two flights with it and had no problems. For me it felt like a little system boost too. I‘ll keep testing.

The HUD toggle bug has nothing to do with the landscape but with the chat system. It is identified and reported. Work around for the moment is to leave the HUD on. No more reports about that are needed.

Sorry that sounds like ignorance to me. I don't see you as a developer like Uros , Tom and OXO. So I will keep watching and testing even if you like it or not. Maybe just as I said the bug is a combination of a few bugs. I'd like to take part at online contests and thinking about to organize one by myself too. Before that I need to make sure that my machine is running well for at least a month without any crashes. If you're saying as a third person, that no reports are needed, that doesn't work for me and others period. :wink: And as I see you were involved in the claim that big maps do matter what is wrong.

The HUD toggle freezes are definitely not connected to the landscape. They are also reproducible on the slovenia landscape. The lenght of the freezes only depends on the number of messages that arrive with the HUD off. The bug is reported to Uros.

The out of memory error that is reported here does have to do with the landscape size, but that is a different issue (Condor being 32 bit and not able to use high memory addresses) . It is not connected to the HUD.

Today we just meet to fly a 280km Task In AA2. The thermal activity and flats activity was high. After banning the HUD toogle and a few flights with the new config I had a freeze and total crash. This time the sound was freezing to. Normally when I had the HUD freeze which I had several times before, the game sound continued and the graphic froze. This time I couldn‘t even close condor with the task manager, I had to make a hard reset and boot again. After my friends started the task for me again it happened after flying a little bit longer. I figured out that my V Sync was off. I will keep testing if the problem still appears, but with disabling just the HUD Condor still doesn‘t run stable. At least I flew 6 weeks without crash. But this route today to flatland of switzerland didn‘t work well. So for me it seems condor has not only just the HUD bug
