This afternoon, I tested with a friend being in another city than mine, the remote taking on condor.
We did this with teamviewer, it works for remote control of commands with keyboard and mouse. which is already very interesting and we put ourselves on a track to be able to help new pilot to make their apprenticeship with a remote instructor.
The only problem is that the remote joystick is not recognized.
For specialists how to work around this problem.
I do not know if this is a new avenue, but this is very interesting, just to solve the problem joystick .....................
In these times of confinement it would allow for the clubs for the majority to see all closed to be able to start pilot training, even to fly two on the same machine ...........
Glider instructor by screen sharing
Re: Glider instructor by screen sharing
I dont think this is possible. And Im not sure it would be useful for instruction anyhow. IRL, an instructor needs controls to maintain flight safety. Other than that, I dont believe a good instructor would need to touch the controls like almost ever. But even if he does, at least the student sees and feels the movement of the controls. You cant replicate this with joysticks. In condor this would be like looking at a youtube video of someone else flying.
Sharing control in a double seater might be fun, to fly long tasks and take turns, and maybe one day condor will support that, but for instruction I think it would add precious little.

I have just used Zoom with an instructor remotely watching me as a pupil, Using the features of Flight School I created a briefing, a demonstration, and the start point for the student's exercise. The instructor was able to brief, and review and assess in real-time as I flew the exercise.
There is definitely potential to teach real skills via remote instruction.
