1-26 1000km -FAIL

Post by Sprunga » Tue Mar 31, 2020 1:17 pm

Hi,

When the 1-26 was released I suggested to OXO that I could try a 500km flight. That's when I found out, from OXO, that a dude in the states completed a 1000km in the 26. So since Corona is here I thought I would have a go. I didn't want to make it too easy but I ended up making the task and weather too hard and I stuffed up in the mountains as per usual!! I ended up flying 635km before I found the ground. I was flying too slowly to complete the 1000km anyhow.

Flight here if you are interested https://www.condor-club.eu/analysis/0/?rank=688421

As I love the Tin Can, I accept the challenge, but not on your ground (I just hate those treetop shaving flights  )

I guess I can adapt one of my wave flights. More in the coming days...

Woah that would truly be an achievement!

If it's not done flying back and forth 3 times on a 50km ridge

You've got to love this gliders construction.

Here's a manic flight I completed on AA2 which took all day to fly to Bex.
Also a great way to boost your points ranking.

That's a long flight in that thing! Did you use ridge lift mostly?

Hi Sprunga, yes it was mostly, with a few nerve wracking ridge/gap crosses.
Towards the end of the day was really tough as the lift gets weaker.
It was a case of lets see how far I can get.
Cheers Jeff
