Hi. Now that we have VR support I think it would be easy to implement smooth view panning. Currently we can use POV-switch but it only pans the view in increments. It would be cool to bind 2 analog axes to look around the cockpit and outside.
One of potential uses of this would be an xbox controller or similar. You can configure one stick for pitch and roll, triggers for rudder and you are left with one stick for smooth POV. Don't burn me at the stake by saying this, but an xbox controller is actually flyable. It's more precise than my cheap Saitek joystick.

With JoyToKey I think its possible to emulate a mouse with a gamepad.

How about using twist axis in joystick?

But how to map it in game? Input/Assign controls?

It's not possible for the time being, but it would be nice to have in a future version (the tile of the thread says " Feature request")
