Hi,

I have installed it under Windows 10 and so far no problem :D . I didn't perform any long flight, but everything was running very smoothly.

I purchased 2 copies of Condors 2 for 2 near identical cockpits both running Windows 10. I've had some issues, but I am confident they will get resolved.

The CONS:

One using Nvidia surround sound for 3 16x10 monitors (3 x 2560x1600) is having issues full screening across the monitors. Edit/Update: Further testing reveals this is directly related to the higher than HD resolution of my monitors and their 16:10 aspect ratio.

This instance also has audio issues, with intermittent towplane audio, no vario audio, and no cockpit noise audio (I presume there should be wind sound?). My oudie 2 which previously worked with Condor1 in the same cockpit is not working w/Condor 2 (I have yet to troubleshoot that issue). Edit/Update: Further testing found this is tied to surround sound. My two cockpits have 5.1 and 7.1 surround setups respectively. Unless I set my sytem to stereo mode, the audio does not work properly. A bit disappointing as this disables my rear speakers.

The second cockpit has 3 HD monitors running in NVIDIA Surronud and a 4th HD monitor not part of the NVIDIA surround. Condor 2 fails at startup, sticking at the "Almost Done" screen. Despite extensive testing and tinkering with setup files, I still cannot get Condor to start on this system.

Installation required activating the DirectPlay Windows Feature, which is a deprecated API that is part of DirectX9. I could see potential issues down the road as a result....

The PROS:

Despite these issues, I have found the inflight characterstics of the glider, as well as lift to be quite impressive and a huge improvement over Condor 1.
The custom hardware panels I built for the simulators for Condor 1 years ago work without issue with Condor 2.

I've had no problems with V2 and WIN 10. Well, there is one odd thing, when going to full screen mode, both monitors blank out and come back on even though I only displaying the simulator on one monitor. Same returning back to the menu system. Didn't happen with V1.

I Had this problem Francisco at the beginning :!: . Then I noticed I was using a new updated driver for my graphic card. So I went back to the old driver what I have used before the update.
Your problem should be a graphic card drive issue.

I have a strange problem under windows 10.

If anyone had a same issue before, please help.

When I use Teamspeak.
1. I am starting teamspeak and connecting to a channel
2. Starting Condor 2 > Free flight > Start flight
3. When I entered to the flight, my headset microphone muted, and also have no sound from Condor 2.

I have tried so many things.

1. Updated sound drivers.
2. Started teamspeak normaly.
3. Started teamspeak as Administrator.
4. changed setting in control panel > hardware and sound.
5. Tried to install older version of Teamspeak.
6. Tried to start Condor 2 in window mode.

I attaching some image from my sound settings below.
I have been trying since 2-3 days now, and I am running out of options.
:(

The new sim looks AWESOME! Aerodynamics (handling) seems lively and took a bit of de-tuning with the ratios and linearality to feel easier to fly. LOVE the wave clouds - very cool! :o 8) Shimmer of light off the water is a nice touch 8) . The cockpit is definitely smoother and more rounded in appearance although I have only tried the Antares 18. I'm looking forward to the JS1 plane pack! :D

One big issue I have is that the FPS is low 30-60 FPS even with all the settings turned down to medium/normal. Condor2 is set to run on the NVidia card yet the FPS is low - maybe my driver needs updating or even back-dating to an older version?? Im on an average laptop so dont expect miracles but Condor2 is currently running at much lower FPS than Condor1.

Overall its a pretty darn cool product though - hopefully I can resolve the FPS problem (NVidia drivers - pffft! )
Big thumbs up to the development team - great job!

At the moment my FPS is around 50. But my system is old. What system you have Greg?

My system:
Processor AMD Phenom(tm) 9650 Quad-Core Processor, 2300 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
AMD Radeon HD 7700
4GB RAM
SSD 500GB

HI Benjy, yes I am working on a somewhat old, basic laptop - I dont expect huge performance figures from it. I have managed to coax it up to 45-50 FPS but does occasionally drop to 30 FPS with slight jerkyness and a rolling 'refresh' that is bit distracting from the experience. I will try even lower settings in the set-up page and see.

SYSTEM:
Samsung notebook 3500E SC
Windows 10 OS
I5 dual core 2.5ghz
8 gigs ram
Nvidia 610m on-board graphics chip

The culprit here is the graphics card which is quite old and too small scoring a measly 410 on the benchmark test :? :( - I need a decent computer!

I'll post up settings once I have more of a chance to fiddle with Condor which may help other users of old laptops get a usable set up going.

Hello,
I'm having laptop too; slightly better performance GPU than Greg has (rating somewhere +800). What I have noticed is that iPaq page (in Condor) has big influence on fps rate. Map page gives lowest fps, zooming the map out helps a bit, approx 10 fps increase. Especially big sceneries like AA and California fps difference is quite big: map on iPaq = 20-40 fps & stutter, and with other pages 80-90 fps without any stutter.
This of course (still) with C1, getting my new pc in 2 weeks.
Br,
Jarmo

I have managed to get 59 FPS now steadily. Most graphics settings in Condor Set Up set normal except terrain and object detail both set to coarse. Vertical sync off in Condor Set Up - off. Then override that in Nvidia Control Panel and set Vertical Sync to - on (see this threadviewtopic.php?f=29&t=17723)

Resolution is set to 1366x768xx32 - my screen's native resolution.

RE-Edit Vert sync must be on in condor set-up. Basically the settings are the same as used for condor one. I have all set to normal or medium, reflections switched back on. FPS are from 28 - 59, playback is stable with no hesitation and full control. Turn "shift + D" off - go fly, have fun.

Running windows 10 on an AMD FX-8360 on a Gigabyte 970A DS3p motherboard, 16gb DDR3 ram an a NVidia GTX 1060 6GB.
Seldom obtaining frame rates over the teens and often sub 10. Mostly unusable :-( Very disappointed.
Gave up trying to sort the low frame rate with existing rig and bit the bullet and upgraded. Now running a Ryzen 5 2600x on an Asus B450-F Gaming M/B, EVGA RTX 2060 GPU and 16GB DDR4, reinstalled windows and all software...
The sim certainly runs well, average FR around 150FPS with everything cranked up, but have suffered a couple of blue screens in about 30 minutes of flying and it wont recognise any scenery except for the default.
Working on it.

I was getting 60 fps (vsync limit) easily with a GTX 760 and an ancient i7-860. Your system should be significantly better, so clearly there's something wrong.
