I have a problem with disappearing no-fly zones, etc. In the video I show what is happening. When I approach the zone, everything is OK. However, when I am close enough for LX to warn me about the zone, it disappears from the cross-section. To make it show up again, I have to turn off the warning. The zone is shown in the cross-section, but I am no longer warned, for example, about the height above the zone. I checked different lx profiles and they all have the same problem.

Re: LX9070 - disappearing zones
This is the same as in real life. The warning can't show you the vertical extend for zones that are coded as "above ground level". So it will always say "Vdist: inside", even though you are above it. The vertical extent can only be seen on the profile view when disregarding the "inside" warning. The zones altitude can be very erratic when making small course corrections. I think that is why they coded it this way.Zakson85 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 7:40 pmI have a problem with disappearing no-fly zones, etc. In the video I show what is happening. Hi Wiek,
This is the problem I mentioned the other day. I have demonstrated that with AGL and MSL airspaces upon approach the airspace lights up on the map and it disappears from the side view. It is troublesome to lose the side view especially when it is an AGL based airspace. I can't fathom why this would be behavior the LX folks would want.

I found that if you go to the Warnings>Airspaces menu and uncheck show that the side view retains the AGL airspace. You lose the voice and message telling you you are approaching airspace but I will use it only for the tasks where I need to navigate through AGL airspace.

Re: LX9070 - disappearing zones
I had a number of strange things happen with the LX that seemed to be triggered by something I did in styler. Could not set the path color and the disappearance of AGL airspaces from side view once the LX flagged an approaching airspace and highlighted it on the map.
Top fix this I had to rebuild my LX setup starting from the supplied "weather" profile. The "default" did not work. I checked along the way to fully rebuilt to be sure the LX was not broken again. I have a wonderfully operational LX now. It is worth the effort. Many of you may not be aware of what is not functioning correctly. I may still be missing something.
Wanted to share my hard won experience.
