Starting tomorrow.
Re: Competition "Les Fous Volants Saison II"
What's the policy on multiple tries?
Re: Competition "Les Fous Volants Saison II"
Hi.
The best score will be taken for the ranking of the task.
Other pilots cannot see your time and your speed.
You can post so many FTR as you want on Condor Club. http://www.condor-club.eu/comp/competit ... 47C4073271VST wrote:What's the policy on multiple tries?

Only few remaining hours for the first race set.
Is it possible to be faster than Laurent & Jonas
Tomorrow the second set of 3 races will be available on servers.

Re: Competition "Les Fous Volants Saison II"
Thanks for the competition.
It was a nice way to explore and train Condor skills and I loved to see how addictive the competition was to some.
I saw one pilot that had 50 attempts on one task..!
Keeping your wings on the fuselage was priority number one.
I do however have to admit that I am a bit too old for the 114m/s (or was it 141m/s) lift I encountered in the #1 task. The gliders wings were ripped off and the remaining parts were launched into orbit with a steady 51m/s... I haven't seen this in real life. And I hope I never will...
So the skill in this task was to avoid good lift.
The 38m/s lift in the #4 task was also a bit too much for me. When going into this lift below 150kmh with the nose up, the wings would stay firm on the fuselage but the glider was thrown up side down and the control of the glider was totally gone up until the moment the glider was thrown out of the lift. This took so much time that going fast from A to B wasn't easy either. I'm only used to lift up to 5 m/s or so. I sometimes see up to 10m/s in SBC tasks, which is also mind boggling to me.
I know I'm Olympia V2 here, but at least I tried and saw positive things.
Especially task #5 was very good for learning to fly ridges. Recommended...
Respect for the top 3 pilots.
It takes skill and top notch concentration to be as fast as they are. Well done..!

Hi EDB.
I just modified : plane icons range / turnpoint helpers range / allow plane recovery and allow plane recorery whis panalties.
This No Racing Task is a like a 24/24 freeflight except that you have suggested waypoints.
The original task is # AJAPE http://www.condor-club.eu/showtask/0/?n ... pe&x=9&y=7
Regards.
This task is on "Condorsom.fr official servers" / "FR25 - No Racing Task 24/24".EDB wrote:Especially task #5 was very good for learning to fly ridges. Recommended...
