BTW - For the future, don't dismiss the concept of a nominal 'entry fee' for the comp series - I think most serious players would be happy to support that idea?

I would prefer if there were no entry fee, as participation drops massively even with just a tiny entry fee. The most hardcore pilots would of course pay and still fly, but we would lose all those who are not that dedicated. And one of the great things about SBC is the massive amount of pilots, with often 200 participants in a task.

So if possible, it would be much preferable if the contest remained free. But of course a contest with entry fee is better than no contest, if that's the alternative.

(and this is not because I'm cheap, I've already donated myself).

I completly do agree with Arneh on that particular point !

It is much better to keep this competition totally free ... it has been one major piece of it's large success those last years ... !

... and we are - with the help of your donations - nearly about to make it possible this way again this year too !
