Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
Damned ..... JJJ and I were thermaling the same thermal when we crashed into eachother .... He could not recover so he crashed.
I could recover but after one turn the mountain was to close and I hit the ridge anyway. To bad, because we were going like a rocket. Sorry JJJ I did not do it on purpose .... i just did not see you

Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
Will it ever be changed day 9..we complained on time and the record is still there I mean check it with Seeyou 3A, DML and the rest...
I had 158.1kph would be 990 point and 3rd rank. This would not be fair to ignored.

Day 9
very disappointed about it. Doesnt take for ever to change it manually ..

Told you I'd keep it dry Steve! My own little island. They'll need a boat for the trailer

Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
Yesterday I earned the first place for "stupid flying".
The Headwind-Leg direct - without circle - good - and than after TP2 i did not take the "save" ridge, no, i tried the north.
The result: a little sightseeing tour around TP2
... but came home at the (long) end.

Hi Tony
Nice one - a Pawnee might get you off there or even better one of those Cmelaks!!
Better luck tonight, I hope to be there again so might see you in Provence.

Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
Funnily, yesterday's results give Sandor the best score of 960-something instead of 1000. 18m class, so no handicups I guess, no penalty points for him (for cloud flying for example) either. Am I missing something obvious or is it just some glitch in the scoring system that will be fixed?

1) A glitch.
2) We don't yet know when or if it will be fixed.
Thanks and regards.
Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
No, it's not a glitch, it's the rules they use at Condor Club (based on FAI rules).lukie wrote:1) A glitch.
Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
I stand corrected (after I've finally managed to understand the significance of the "F = the least of 1 and (1.25 x n1 / N)" rule, thank you Not that it does quite compute for me that way, either, and I'd be glad to see the actual algorithm used, but at least the general rule which causes the 'less than 1000' maximum score is now clear.arneh wrote:No, it's not a glitch, it's the rules they use at Condor Club (based on FAI rules).lukie wrote:1) A glitch.
