High mountains low cloud base ruined it for me today. Flying in clear air then suddenly without warning I'm in the middle of thick cloud, pulled the brakes tried to get out but when I did next see the ground it was about 2 seconds before impact :(

13000ft. Couldn't get near the turn point. Turned in to cloud, turned out again. In to a mountain.

135 penalty point  ..

over 2 min close to the ridge..

My best race ever...! :D
Up until the moment I had to go into a 20 minute holding pattern waiting for the clouds to disappear...

75 of 170 comptetitors crashed. Wow, that's insane! Good thing this wasn't a real flight :)

But unlike most others, my crash wasn't caused by the clouds, which I mostly avoided by flying over them. Having gotten nicely past the hard part I made a misnavigation after final TP when it really should just have been an easy glide at VNE to finish. But I got in the wrong valley, and massive lee sink caused me to not have enough height to get over the next ridge out of the valley.
Had good speed too until then, same time as JJJ at final TP. But unlike most others I can't blame the conditions, this one was totally my own fault. And a costly mistake it was, it's going to be almost impossible to get the lead back from Dmitry again now.

Fun task, thx for hosting it. Too bad it was on a training task that I found my rhythm :)

One question - last race was invalidated, but the overall scores were still updated.
Are you going to correct this ?

Yes, ... PhilippeFP will cancel this "Day32" race as soon as he can ... and it won't count for the overall Score !

Doing it after the race has been flown, is the best way we have found to make it whithout changing too much things on the PC Server !

Be patient ... it'll be done ! 8)
