Oh man, that wasn't even funny.... Let alone calling this a "racing task".

Why not? When you see eyes of squirrels and than catch +4 - you feel so happy ;)

I guess that's the only thing left - making jokes about this task, it deserves nothing more.

Oh, it would have been interesting and challenging to look for correct way from Zakopane over the mountains...

...but I skipped "one cloud too much" and then there were no clouds at all, untill found one which had lost it's power in the height where I arrived. SEB & an other pilot came to same cloud and told it was +2,5 m/s... (sic).

Honestly, I was very glad to land safely as, because of my partially volunteered and partially forced quite late start, I was getting tired and task seemed to take some time... it was getting very late in RL... (only one wish: if only the servers could start 30min earlier  )

Very nice task again; me like a lot.

I like this task. Yes, it was a little bit tricky, but 66 pilots managed to get to the finish line. Thanks to tasksetters!

Good task, I think. But I had to start too late once more, my mistake.

And the ones who took the big risk crossing the mountains won. :) The task was made so that risk taking would be awarded :)

Although I finished first on Server "I" I am not happy with this kind of
tasks. After TP2 I found a cloud in right time and right location. I can
climb up to about 1750 m and risk to fly over the mountain. I suppose, that
it was a 60:40 chance. I succeed and that's the reason for my good ranking,
luck and luck again. In RL it is stupid to take such risk.

Do we want that results are based upon luck and crash risk? If so we use
or may I say abuse Condor as Adventure Game and not as simulator. In RL
mountains are used as support (ridge lift, better thermals) and not as obstacles.

It was mentioned some number of times (and i fully agree with this message) - nobody prevents one from organizing his own competitions where he will set the rules and tasks.

From my past experience of participation in LLC, SBC (SpeedBattle Cup), SR and other big competitions i must say that if you have 20-30 tasks to fly then some number of adveture tasks are very appreciated (especially in the case when only part of results are counted for final score). Or else after 10-15 RL-type tasks competition becomes a bit boring for majority of competitors...

Fox9 we are upset by your (and some others) regular moanings  ... if you don't like the competition, the tasks or whatever ... go away,
... try to organize your own competition and we will see the result, how perfect it would certainly be ... !
Higly realistic or full arcade with altitude&plane recovery we don't even know or remember what do you want exactly ... because we simply do not bother advices from people like you !
With people like you all around everywhere ... nothing could be organized, never ... !
Criticism must be constructive to be useful !

This competition is a big amount of work for 5 people, many hours of work on it taken on our free time just to please the maximum of pilot with an event which was missing since 2 years !
So it is sometime discouraging to listen a few guys moaning all the time like you ...
Its our first time for such a big stuff, we are doing some mistakes, its not perfect for sure, but it does exist and hopfully the satisfaction is there for many guys around !
Problems are fixed as soon as we can ...
And "Tasksetter for a wide Condor Competition" is not an easy work, he is doing his best and the result is quite good & interesting for the moment from my point of view ... :
in one hand, without tricky or surprising parts (which we can admit to face because its a no risk activity), some people say sometime its boaring, and in another hand, to see half of the present planes outlanded in one race upon 4 is not so rare in RealLife Gliding competitions ! So ... where is the Truth ... ?!?
For the moment we had interesting compromises ...

So anyway, if you don't feel at ease with us in that event ... please do us a favor, don't join the SBC2010 servers nor this forum section anymore ... we won't miss you probably !
And if your Condor Program can't resist to connect itself anyway ... then if you want, some '.kick' from admin may help it not to do so ... !

So long ... and have a nice competition anyway if you finally manage to like it a bit ...
