I think the name of the first TP says it all

I also failed but was quite confident to succeed. I had a different routing than others. Unfortunately I lost connection and soon after had a PC frame rate problem.

Tim Kuijpers, were you close to the last TP? Is there some mountain updraft or not? Since the termals wont help you need the mountains.

I landed 80km into the race. I needed more than 90 min for this distance. Who got further?

No the ridges are too flat, I got down because I couldn't find anymore thermals.
I've been to 3500m thermalling through the clouds.
That was my tactic, and I'm sure that some way it will work.
But it will be very difficult, because there are not many thermals in that area.
Normally I don't fly a task more than once, but this one is tempting.
Think positive, flaps negative.

And I was in germany for the weekend in Niederaula, so I missed a great Sunday (3200m cloudbases).

Didnt know you had 304 Stefan. Be sure to look me up if you come to visit Slovenia, we can do some flights together. W.Hake is also considering coming with his 304. Glasflügeltreffen / Glasflügelsommercamp

After witnessing todays race with ten racers, among them some of the most succesful Condor pilots (nobody succeeded btw), it came to my mind that this task is most probably one of the most visited so far.

Stefke, can you provide us with the "Statistik" maybe?

This should proof that also hard tasks attract participiant, well, at least the eager ones...

733 penalty points...MoWa...the Score is the thing you need to gain, not penalties... I beat you on points but you appear on the results...not fair   .
Great flight :D

MoWa, you're my hero! Congratulations.

I assume you did it with cloud flying. How on earth do you do it? My ASG29 is much too unstable in bank to get it right. I would need an artificial horizon in my cockpit, the turn an bank indicator is not accurate enough.

Did you find a cloud near TP2 and did you get up to the top?

Cheers,
Dani

He, thanks. :) Yeah, cloud flying is the only way to do it... Practice is the word, but I must admit that last cloud where I had to gain 1000+ meters was quite a challenge...
