Day 33. Crashed in 26 (twenty six) meters from finish line..

Post by Tima (TSD) » Fri Feb 22, 2008 7:19 am

Collided with tree on the airfield. Visually from the cockpit this should not happen :(.
In the attached picture is the screenshot from ShowCondorIGC (zoomed very much). End of the red line (track) is the place of crash. Blue segment is the distance to go. In the left upper corner is the length of this blue segment...
I'm applying for the record of the shortest distance to go! ;)

ha ha ha, maybe this should be implemented on Q key  in RL you can push your glider over the finish line. in tima's case he would probably need few tries to get all his pieces over the finish line :)

But Flight recorders in gliders has limit for speed. They works only above 40km/h or something like this. But next fix can be in finish line. :-D

In EGC Issoudun lot of open pilots landed out on the airfield but 100m to finish and nearer.

Sorry but that distance is a mile when you put it up against TE's. He ended up about 2meters from the finish.
