The briefing that comes with level 24 says: "After having passed level 23, and now that you are an experienced cross country pilot....".

Maybe Thierry is working on that. :D

Level 24 is...hmm... challenging, but very easy compared to level 25.

I finally got time to test level 24 (thanks -again- to Thermal!) and it's now available.
Just one thing about this level: I hate weak and blue thermals :)

I just returned from a long stay in the French Alps/Provence. :D
On one of my flights I could verify large parts of this XP-task #24.
Conditions were better than in task #24, which was necessary, because I needed to fly all the way down to Vinon first, and fly back "home" afterwards.

I must say, Condor's thermal map of the Valensole Plateau is amazingly accurate.
Also, the boomer at the Gorge du Verdon is there in RL. 8)
Amazing scenery, and I cannot wait for version 2 to be released. (.high res?.)
As soon as I get anywhere near my joystick, I'll refly task #24 and send it in.

Level 25 is out!

I'm sorry for Thermal, because people will start to hate him with this task :)

And sorry for the long waiting, I was busy with Competition manager project...

@Thierry:
So you tried it?

Postponing this task is no problem, as said, I leave the task selection and numbering entirely at your discretion.
And I must admit, its a horrifying task with a terrible dilemma.
Maybe for later in the series, when the real experts remain. 8)

So for now, good decision... since I hate it to be hated.

Yeh, you'd better move that one up in the sequence.... a lot.

Arghhh... did I really create this one level-25?
Must be some time ago then, and I almost started hating myself. :?

Anyway, after landing back at Vinon twice, on the third attempt I completed it ,so.... it can be done by anyone.

I did this one, only to find out that I had got a cloud flying penalty (1.4p) and the flight was not approved...

But thanks for making these challenges! I enjoy them quite alot. Although I prefer the tasks that are not Xcountry challenges. How is the schedule for the coming tasks? Xcountry? acro?

That's where penalties are for... Experts are supposed not to fall into those little traps or risk cloud flying in the first place.

Although there is a contiguous numbering in the XP challenges, there were actually different series.
Ranging from beginner's level up to rather complicated glider control for advanced pilots.
Beginners could train on the easy tasks and grow with the series and become "experts" themselves.
That's what it was all about, learning, training, and last but not least, to have fun and satisfaction for completing tasks that are not exactly easy!
And yes, there were some pretty hefty aerobatics tasks.
I think at task #20 or so, a new series on X-country training began.

If you go back to the first pages of this topic, the essentials of the XP-Challenges were explained there.
Also Thierry made a summary of ideas he had and asked for feedback and task creation.
I only helped by submitting a couple of tasks for the cross country series, but I had no idea how this series would evolve and by how much the difficulty level would go up.

To lift a tip of the mistery "xx-task" Thierry mentioned above, that was the last task I submitted.
Thinking about it, and no offense 8) , but this task is probably so difficult that the XP-series would practically end here, because only a few pilots may probably be able to complete it and everybody else loses interest.

So please re-read the first pages and submit your ideas and tasks to BOD1.
The responses so far have been very positive, so let's continue the challenge.
I for one, had great fun flying the present task #25 again.

Thanks for a nice reply, Thermal! You are always very helpful!

Yes I have checked the schedule that BOD1 wrote in an earlier tread. However, it seems it is been changed a bit, if I remember correctly. Anyway, it is not important, I enjoy every challenge!

Anyway, this summer I made a acro task just for fun. Maybe some of the elements can be used in a future acro task? The acro task incude, 4 point roll, immelman with a twist, barrel roll, (stall turn), 10turn spin and a lowpass finish. I attach a replay file of the task.
