Re: Badges and Diplomas
Hi Benny
Thanks for the pointer, I obviously missed that when I was trying to find the answer to my problem.
It is very comprehensive, including the video tutorial.
Clearly I need to get my camera out next time I fly the test
Thanks again .......... Paul
PS
Successfully flown the test and awarded my silver badge

Re: Badges and Diplomas
Good Morning All,
A quick question, have been trying to acheive my Diamond Height, and having flown all my RL time in thermal country can anyone offer advice on achieving the height in Condor, have tried it in the Alpi 2 Scenery, but am not aware or where Mont Blanc lies in the scenery and on attempting to do it on The Horn between the last Tp and the finish find the aircraft behaves really badly, is this normal?
Many Thanks and loving Condor and its Club.
Regards

Re: Badges and Diplomas
If you climb Matterhorn and fly back towards the valley, there is at least one very powerful wave there. I found it on the way back to Sion after climbing slowly to the required altitude in a weak wave downwind from Matterhorn. I wish I had found it before...warwickst wrote:Good Morning All,

Re: Badges and Diplomas
Hello,
I have a newbie question, the actual task in the task doesn´t start, the pole remains yellow-red. Is there something wrong or is this not needed, will the replay suffice?
btw. can i have a better hint for the password of the Teamspeak server?

You'll find the password atBurns wrote: btw. can i have a better hint for the password of the Teamspeak server?
http://www.condorsim.fr/communaute/topic2939.html
in the middle of the page.
I don't know if there's any other source of information for the password?

Ah, alright. To be honest, I never figured out this one.It is possible he means this...
When I think of wooden planes, there are about 6 or 8 names springing to my mind immediately.
So this is, in my opinion, not a very good hint. But I started using Teamspeak when I was registered
at condorsim.fr and got the password from there.
EDIT: I did not know that there are two different servers. I cannot connect to
teamspeak.condor-club.eu with the "old" password, too. teamspeak.hosteur.com (condorsim.fr) is working fine.

Re: Badges and Diplomas
You gained only 4,563.82 meters (Max height gain) from the reference height. This reference height is the first 100 meter loss in the barogram.
When I look at the barogram it is somewhere near 1348 meter. This is normal for a height attempt when using aerotow. Because you could otherwise let yourself tow up to whatever height...
So when you do a next attempt, first dive at least 100 meters to a lower altitude before you do the climb.
