Why is there a 17:45 UTC Server? Has not been announced anywhere!

I have just finished the Sky Race day 9. 15.30 utc server.

I have been suffering all flight, but the end is terribly marginal. I can´t believe that I landed 12 km before finish line and 500 m. distance to a funny scenery object. You can see it in this picture. It is an outlanding glider and a car with trailer. They seem to be disasemblying the plane.

Amazing.
Enjoy with Suffering Races!!

Hi at all,

I have some opinions for the task at Day 9. I flew with two other pilots and we flew very slow and very careful, but after 15-20KM, we have to land out. This task was very hard, harder than Rieti Day6, where we landed out 35 KM before finish. Our opinion is that nobody will start at this day in RL. The weather was too bad to fly 200KM. I know we aren't the best flyers here but a task with middlestrong, and small thermal will be very funny. So a real task will be very nice with 1,5 m/s will be funny, I mean at conditions where somebody will fly a nice task with 200KM.

Bye Markus. (It's our opinion, when you're don't agree with us then it's okay and you can write it here down).

It's me you can see a few km. closer  landed about 9km from finish. I agree completely - this task was to say at least strange :?
(hope not server admins can read what I was writing after I landed  )

What is wrong with some normal thermal countryside tasks . . . in summer time of cause, and not as here in winter time - damn I was freezing cold

Some task who is closer to what you in real life would fly. I would never have dared flying this task in real life :?

The last about 30 km was just (could not get more altitude) suicide run. Had to go with about -130m at MC 0 I hope to see some others FG's
who go all the way home so I might see what I should have done to make it all the way home.

Good luck to the rest of you.

task day 9

Post by Mosquito S9 » Fri Jan 30, 2009 11:27 pm

hello like this tasks. and it was one of the best tasks and i fly skyrace every year since condor get up ;)
This task near on the reality ;)
. Because many pilots was flown 500km in the bleckforrest this winter on the 25.12.08. look at onlinecondest ( www.onlinecontest.org )

also what is the problem this is a task of taktik and not for speed ;) . and skyrace is a match . the best will be win the task .this is the rule. and there was no problem to finish the task . i get last alt on the big hill after tp 1 on the first leg. up to 2400m and then i glide some km with 112 km with some plus so i can get 140m above final glide with mc 1.3 and then gooo . it was not a to fly up on the ridges. also come one

FUN FUN FUN
