EasternAlps 2.0 Pictures No.2

Post by mosquito » Thu Jun 29, 2006 7:54 pm

Hi there!

Rainer and I did not have much time in the last 1 1/2 months so there was no progress on the scenery. While Rainer is still quite busy, i began to tweak our Terraintexturing this week. After 5 days i came to a final version which i really like :)

I would like to show some pictures now of the new and final version which will be used for the whole rendering process later.
I assume the releasedate might be sometime at the end of August.

Please note, there are no cities or fields added yet. Also the lakes are only basic, early versions.

enjoy.

they're resized to 800x600 with Photoshop, and as they are a bit blurry after resizing, i sharpened them. Nothing else :) no contrast/brightness change.

Hi mosquito,
The second set is nice, however on the first set of pictures (pic 5, pic 6, pic 7) I don't like those squared spots on the mountain slopes. If it would be possible to make it a bit smoother or blurred (if it was a font I would say antialiased :-) ) it is gonna be much better.

Thanks for your effort anyway :!:

Amazing "fine" textures on all pictures. I really like them - but I'd support Erixxoon in his oppinion that in pic 5,6,7 the snow caps are a bit too "contrasty".

Thanks Mosquito!
