Hm, I did not taken into account "scenery check" aspect. If there is no way ppl "with default" and ppl "with photo" can connect to the same server ... its useless.

I presume whole scenery will be made with phototextures, or else it will be even more ugly on transitions inbetween areas ...

Hm, looks I will be doomed to fly only on Slovenia servers  - yes, I am "phototexture-hater".

There will be definately not be 2 Version with different textures.

The textures of the scenery will also not consist of 100% satellite imagery.
Satellite imagery is only used for cities and special spots like glaciers, nothing more.

Excellent , the trees, green areas and rocks look even more realistic than before. Respect to the developers !

Now like swt I do not like too much the photorealistic glacier. Just a personal taste... I think it is a local experiment to get users' opinion ?

2 versions would be certainly hard to manage but again Like swt I thought it is important to voice my opinion.

By the way I ran a poll "the future of Condor scenery" in the scenery forum.

Hey mosquito, and raiki, smile you did a good job guys !

Maybe this is something that could be implemented in Condor rather than in the scenary... something like a tickbox people can check or uncheck for displaying the textures....

Mosquito & Raiki, nice work :) The Glacier and city texture do give it an extra dimension.

Now I'd like to see the man who still dislikes (semi-)photorealistic sceneries... :D

Fantastic work, can't wait for the release!

I also like very much the water effect, indeed I think this will make flying over lakes much nicer.

I would however underline as a lake or the surface of the sea are essentially 2D objects, thus they are immune by that hugly effect you get when flying over the picture of a town (buildings are typically 3D!).

WOW something really good :!:

I've got one question: what about FPS with so many buldings in one place - especially in larger towns (cities)?

I work on west-south part of Poland (specialy for Leszno airfield :) ) and probably do this same trick with sateliteimage for cities. It's good idea.

Since Condor's buildings aren't very detailed in comparison to other sims I would not expect a high fps-impact even though they are used in larger numbers... overall I've to say that Condor is surprisingly fps-friendly, never had a sim which fulfilled this criteria so well!

BTW @ mosquito:
Nice idea with the animated userbar, I was so free to apply it to my userbar(s) as well! Space-saving and nice to look at, thanks for this inspiration!
