oh well, its working now. 2 peers connected, downloading the file at decent speeds. As they download, they will automatically start uploading the file too, increasing the speed for everyone.

If you're done downloading, please keep your BT program running to seed the files to others.

I've zipped the file, as Azureus wasn't too happy seeding a .EXE. Thats why your 100Mbs are "useless" (different file, different hash).

Hi guys

I am very sorry but tracker went down and you two lost connection.
Now it seems to work again. I am seeding it at full speed (2 mb/s) right now.

Try again with that speed you'll have it in no time :)

Regards KB

P.S. Please leave your client running, so that others could download too.

Still not working :(
My I suggest you download my torrent tracker instead (and then seed it ) ?
I will move this tracker to LLC website once I get the green light from the SysIT guys. until then it should be up 24/7 but not terribly fast.

Another one ? The less trackers we have, the more leechers and seeders we''ll have, and therefore, the best speed... I dont care which tracker we use, as long as it works, unlike Modelar's..

To help speed up the spreading of the 254MB EasternAlps, I connected an Azureus 2.4 Torrent Server to Vertigo's Tracker.
Max. Upload 512Kb/s, unlimited traffic.
Download Vertigo's Torrent file listed above and go ahead.

looks like LLC server will also join the swarm. Thanks to SysIT

Is there a way to move the tracker from one machine to another, without breaking the swarm ? If necessary, I can change the domain name alias to link to the LLC server rather than to my home machine, so that should work, but I'd rather not if there is another way.

@Vertigo

I'm afraid that whatever you try, you always disrupt the swarm... for some.
The tracker info is embedded in the .Torrent file and not all clients support Multi-Tracker info either.
Maybe it's best to have SysIt download your file and let them publish a new .torrent file on the LLC Server quickly while it is not busy yet.
At the moment I see 4 seeders and 0 downloaders.

I'll leave the tracker on my machine then, and add the LLC server to the swarm. Once the next version of the scenery is released, I'll host the tracker on LLC server then.

Hi Greg,

If you use a Torrent client to download Vertigo's file, just leave your client running and it will automatically "seed" the developing "swarm".
When you have already downloaded EasternAlps from a different source, the chance of success to connect that file to the swarm are ... not good.

Unfortunately, manipulating Torrents, Trackers, Hash tables etc. is a special line of sport and for that reason I suggest we keep it this simple, to avoid corruption of the spreading scenery.

Whomever is downloading it now, doesn't have his firewall configured properly. If you are seeing only ~5Kb/s, you have a NAT problem. Make sure to open and forward TCP ports 6881 to 6999.
