Since the download is available on speedbattle.com we have over 500 downloads (about 100GB in 9 hours).

Because the free traffic on our server is 750 GB, I wrote a script to limit the downloads.

Sorry

I created the shaded relief map for the Eastern Alps scenery. To use it in Condor you will need to convert the JPG to BMP file and place it in the Condor/Landscapes/EasternAlps folder. If anyone is willing to host a 17MB file on their web server let me know, and I can give you the original BMP file.

I tested the Bitmap image in Condor PDA, and it looks great in all zoom modes. So, I think you don't need to do anything else.

I found this tutorial on how to do shaded relief maps in Photoshop. Once you get a hang of it, it is not that difficult. http://www.ima-maps.com/index/_Download ... torial.pdf

Actually, the most time consuming part for me was getting the grayscale height image of the area.

Hi,
Developers of E.Alps forgot about splashscreen so we will see a white picture when this map will be loading at PC.
I createad small mod (with some pictures), example of splashscreen here:

Follow up to my earlier post with artifacts problem.

When I tried to load the same file (I burned it to CD at work) when I got home, it reported corruption and would not load. Downloaded again, and all seems OK.

Thanks to Wictor for the PDA map. Lovely.

The scale of this scenery is amazing. Set a few waypoints for a little look around. Found I had actually set a 150k task instead of the 50k I had thought ! Wow

Thanks to all.

wiktor256,

There seems to be a problem in opening, saving and printing the pdf file.
