Eastern Alps scenery release

Post by mosquito » Mon Mar 06, 2006 9:58 pm

Stefan Kessler from the Speedbattle-team was so kind to offer some download slots on his server.
You can find the link to the scenery on the speedbattle homepage: http://www.speedbattle.com

The scenery is now also available here:
http://www.7th-heaven.me.uk/modules.php ... load&cid=5

"Modelar" was so kind to create a torrent-file for the scenery. At the moment this is the only way to (maybe) download the scenery. You can find the zipped torrenfile in this thread: http://forum.condorsoaring.com/viewtopic.php?t=2936
All you have to do is do download "Bittorent" or any other torrent-client and open the file.

"YoYo" created a package with nice loading screens for the scenery, you can download it here: http://acn.waw.pl/sturm/EasternAlpsSetupModSS.zip

Hi all !

as the old easternalps-thread is filled with so many posts now, i make a new one about the release of the scenery.

At first, i must say that the scenery is still at an early stage of development - however it is already "flyable". I hope i am able to offer updates in the following weeks in order to improve it.For so long, it would be nice if you guys could post bugs and or other stuff about this scenery in this thread so that we dont blow up the scenery forum with too many threads.

In the first version, there will be 4 airfields included:

- Koenigsdorf
- Eschenlohe
- Noetsch
- Zell am See

These airfields are still represented by pretty simple 3D-Objects and will be improved in the following weeks.

My download stopped. After deleting temp internet files, I made a second attempt, and it is now working ok.
My iPaq screen is giving some troubles however with showing the landscape.

I got the same error: "The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete".

The file size is 259,999,936 bytes by the way.
